Plea deal with Hunter was made back on January 21, 2021. Hunter was heard talking about the “plea sentence” he’d made on a “hot mic” during a speech his father was giving that day at the White House. I’m betting if any paperwork existed on that deal, it was already signed over 2 1/2 years ago, and any restrictions he was placed under, are already over and done with. Why would you wait 2 1/2 years to sign, and then announce a plea deal you made in January 2021?

Also I have not heard the customary “must cooperate in other investigations as part of the plea deal”.
The investigation is ongoing. Which absolutely means it will be there excuse to not discuss anything about it.

The only thing I can think of (besides Congress turning up the heat recently) is that last week a judge ordered Hunter to appear in person in family court for the next child support hearing. So maybe they are announcing this plea with its sentence of probation so that Hunter can now say “I can’t leave the state, I’m on probation!”
Yeah, we’re waiting for the other soft slipper to fall.
What’s the point? There will never be any consequences for any law he breaks.

Weiss was another “great” Trump appointee! He may end up right there with other Trump appointees, Barr and Wray!
This is just so the DOJ does not need to comment on anything about Hunter because he is still under investigation. And of course, there could be further law enforcement actions, so hold your criticism until.... well the end of Biden’s Presidential term.... when it no longer matters.....
Possibly, but that doesn't change the fact that on Jan. 21, 2021 he was heard saying he made a "plea sentence." There's no way they waited 2 1/2 years to complete the deal, and put the restrictions in place. There's shenanigans going on here big time.
