Nearly 99 percent of 'Covid deaths' reported by the CDC each week are not primarily caused by the virus, official data shows.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Covid dashboard shows just 1.7 percent of the 324 Covid deaths registered in the week ending August 19 had the coronavirus as the primary cause of death.
The figures suggest just a handful of American lives are being lost directly to the virus each week. For comparison, the virus was behind one in three 'Covid deaths' at America's pandemic peak in 2021.
The primary or underlying cause of death is defined as the disease, situation or event that initiated the chain of events directly resulting in death.
The new Covid data will be reassuring at a time when panic is rising across the US as highly transmissible new Covid variants circulate,,,,,,
New variants EG.5, or Eris, and BA.8.26, or Pirola, have been detected in several countries around the globe and in the US recently.
These variants are highly mutated and thought to be better at avoiding vaccine and natural immunity, causing more infections.
Infections appear to have doubled across the US amid the emergence of these variants and hospital admissions among people with the virus have risen for the fifth week in a row - but still remain at near-historic lows.
Crucially, however, Covid deaths are not rising quickly.
The panic about a Covid upswing last week saw the Hollywood movie studio Lionsgate reinforce mask mandates, asking its employees to don face coverings at its Santa Monica, California offices. However, just several days later, the movie studio reversed its decision.

This is bizarre phrasing. The historic low for hospital COVID admissions was 0. That was the number recorded in 2018.
the cdc just makes $hit up to suit the current social climate and to keep their liberal overlords happy.
For example, what is the definition of a vaccine this week?

ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS12) — A man who died in a motorcycle crash was counted as a COVID-19 death in Florida, according to a new report from FOX 35 Orlando.
According to the report, Orange County Health Officer Dr. Raul Pino was asked whether two coronavirus victims in their 20s had any underlying medical conditions that could have potentially made them more susceptible to the virus.
Pino’s answer was that one of the two people who was listed as a COVID death actually died in a motorcycle crash. Despite health officials knowing the man died in a motorcycle crash, it is unclear whether or not his death was removed from the overall count in the state.
“but they had COVID at the time”
Let us be more precise—they tested positive on a Covid test....

Excess Deaths in the US for All Causes were largely 0 for age groups 0-44 since 2019. This remains true.
For age group 45-64 Excess Death totals were substantial during 2020-2022.
As of now, oddly, age group 85+ shows no Excess Deaths.
Oddly because age group 65-84 DO show Excess Deaths, even this year. Not a huge number, but clearly non zero. This aligns with Covid death counts nationwide which total about 40 per day.
This matters because when the deaths are All Causes, attribution does not matter. Maybe as important, during 2020-2022, the peaks and troughs of Excess Deaths aligned with the calendar for Covid attributed deaths, so misattribution was clearly rare.
As a reminder, Excess Deaths is a count of deaths of all causes in a given week compared to the death count of the same week in years 2019 back to 2015, averaged together and adjusted for non Covid factors like population gain and known trends (like Fentanyl).

You scroll way down and click the selection “Weekly Deaths By Age”. Then scroll another line to click Update Dashboard, and then scroll a few more lines and the death count charts appear for each age group. Study carefully because the lines are color coded by year. This year is blue. And ignore the very end of the blue line. It always curves down sharply because it takes several weeks for death counts to accumulate.
Lastly, reminder, these numbers are all causes.
And who knows if that is even right?

I had a client whose 88YO father was in the hospital in the final throws of alzhiemers in the spring of 2020. He died over night. The cause of death was listed as covid. She questioned the cause of death because in NY at the time if it was a covid death alternate funeral arrangements had to be made. She asked the doctor, “how do you know he died of covid?” The doctors told her, “he had a fever when he died.”
Of course 99% of the deaths related to COVID do not list COVID as the sole cause of death, because to say COVID killed someone is meaningless. What physical issue did COVID cause that killed them; heart failure, blood clots, sepsis, stroke, respiratory failure, kidney failure? The 1.7% that only listed COVID are too lazy or too stupid to fill out a death certificate with meaningful information.
And, with the a good fraction of the tests giving false positives, most probably don’t even have COVID at all.
Talk about medical misinformation, this is the epitome of of it and an indictment on the integrity of the USA’s health establishment.
They are trying to correct a corrupted record. There is no correcting that record. The CDC has zero credibility and needs to be shuttered with all employees never receiving a paycheck from government either directly or indirectly, including any research grants or working for any business/institution that receives taxpayer funds.

That sounds like a 14th amendment argument that they faked a lethal disease in order to overthrow the current administration's most likely victory in the upcoming election.
