Chicago mayor pleads for federal help as he sounds alarm on border crisis: ‘Country is now at stake’

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson pleaded Wednesday for the federal government to take a bigger role in tackling the migrant crisis, warning that the Windy City and other parts of the US are being overwhelmed by new arrivals.

“Without real, significant investment from our federal government, it won’t just be the city of Chicago that won’t be able to maintain this mission,” Johnson told CNN. “It’s the entire country that is now at stake.”

Johnson, 47, explained that he’s asked the Biden administration to set aside $15 billion worth of resources to address the issue. Biden requested $13.6 billion for border security as part of a $106 billion supplemental aid package he unveiled in October that also included assistance for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.

Mayor Blowie is making former mayors Groot and Sparklefarts look like towering statesmen.

Currently the single biggest effect of illegal immigration is to alienate blacks from the demoncrat party.

“Investment”.....”Funding”......no mention about actually closing off the borders and stopping the flow. It’s all about the money.

It gets better. Since the city of Chicago is now impounding buses that go into Chicago to drop off illegals, the buses are now stopping at suburban commuter train stations and handing each illegal a train ticket to downtown Chicago. It sounds like, right now, the illegals ride the line to the end and get off at either Union Station or The Oglivie Transportation Center, depending on which line the train is running on.

BUT, there are lots of stops between, as an example, Elmhurst and downtown. Each suburb along the way has an opportunity to put up signs welcoming the illegals and inviting them to get off the train in their town instead of riding to the end of the line. Just think of how many virtue-signal points you could earn by diverting an illegal to your house instead of Chicago.

It tells you a lot about candidate Biden that his border policy is using tax dollars to foster failure, failed cultures, adverse behaviors, mediocrity, etc.

Biden is choosing to subsidize cultural ruination, That is is a curious aspiration for the president of the United States.

Biden’s policies are dismantling cultural norms not building them up, as one would expect from a chief executive.

We once expected presidents to advance activities and behaviors that serve to enhance culture, into a civilization that rewards success.

If Biden cannot aspire that high then he should just get out of the dam way and let someone take the job who does.

“Republicans fault”
The Washington Generals of politics get depantsed again
The Conservative should point out sanctuary cities will be granted Block Funds to do with what they need. If the cities choose to take the food right out of the mouths of your children to help the really poor illegals you voted for this.
( I’m always amazed that the communist governments could convince their citizens to sacrifice and accept a lower standard of living to punish Capitalists, the great satans )

So declaring oneself a “sanctuary city” actually has consequences?

When it was just a talking point for them and the media it was fine, when 10s of thousands flooded the border into Texas and they stayed there , apparently that was fine for Texas…., now that the shit is hitting your front yard it is a crisis?

Chicago as are most demonrat cities, were raging shitholes before “getting your wish”. Now uncle sugar is demanded to come to the rescue.

But I am confused, I thought diversity was a strength, and these folks are all hard working people who will make things better.

It would be funny if not so tragic

Yeah - everything in your city was fine before TX started spreading the diversity. Sure it was.

I’d rather live in Centralia than Chicago.

Sounds like the mayor finally sees that the blood of our nation is being poisoned.

“Not in my backyard”. Maybe being a sanctuary city wasn’t such a bright idea after all.
