Judge Juan Merchan on Tuesday accused Trump of intimidating a juror who admitted she posted a pro-Biden video to her Facebook page.
Jury selection was still underway on Tuesday in the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ trial after more than 50 prospective jurors were dismissed from the jury pool on Monday.
One potential juror was brought in for questioning after Trump’s lawyers discovered she posted a pro-Biden celebratory video in 2020.
“You had to get in the car to spread the honking cheer. it’s a full on dance party at 96th street,” the potential juror’s caption read according to Trump attorney Todd Blanche.
President Trump was allegedly gesturing and ‘audibly speaking in the direction of the potential juror’ while she was being questioned about her pro-Biden social media post.
Judge Merchan accused Trump of intimidating the juror.
“I won’t tolerate that. I will not have any jurors intimidated in this courtroom. I want to make that crystal clear,”
The left-wing, pro-Biden juror claimed she is capable of being impartial.
“I very, very strongly believe that regardless of my thoughts about anyone or anything political, feelings or convictions, that the job of a juror is to understand the facts of a trial and to be the judge of those facts,” the juror said, according to CNN.
Judge Merchan said the left-wing juror gave “reasonable explanations” for the pro-Biden Facebook videos and rejected a request from Trump’s attorneys to dismiss her from the jury pool.

The prosecutor and defense have a number of "strikes" to dismiss jurors. I think in this case, each side gets 20. But after each strike, that side has one less to use. They may not have proceeded to them "strike" phase yet.
Roger Stone's team did not discover a leftist in the jury pool, and that character became the jury foreman. Stone was convicted and Trump pardoned him.
Each side has three pre-emptory challenges, which they can use for any reason without disclosing the reason, to dismiss a juror. Each side has an unlimited number of challenges for cause, which requires “good cause” to dismiss the juror, such as a personal relationship with the judge, an attorney, prosecutor, defendant, or witness; objective bias; disability, etc.
Even the demonRATs know it will be dismissed on repeal.
And they know it’s a waste of time and money.
But it’s wasting Trump’s time and money, and that is precisely the point.

Any MAGA on the jury? Would such a person survive a challenge? Yeah I didn’t think so.
This woman at anytime in the history of this country would be justifiably excused in a nanosecond.
The proceedings are wide open for a mis-trial and easy appeals.
I do understand this case, and the first outrage is the judge allowing the case to go forward.
The “false” entry isn’t false. The idea that it somehow covered up a campaign violation is also a ridiculous stretch of the law.
Jurors can get on juries with all kinds of prejudices, and they lie.
My general knowledge of Biden loving liberals is they world not be caught dead in a million years, acquitting Trump.
They are absolute haters.
And how can Trump intimidate such a person? They’ll just hate him more.

And if she had a photo of herself with a let’s go Brandon sticker on her car she would have been dismissed from the jury pool and then arrested for a thought crime.

You are right, of course. However, the spirit and letter of our Constitution is being bastardized or ignored to mean whatever the powers that be decide.
Sixth Amendment - "In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed..."
There is no way that a MAGA American can get a fair trial in a blue city because it would be nearly impossible to meet the jury requirement of the 6th amendment.
There was a time when we would mock and scorn the NAZI and Communist (Stalin) show trials. History can now add the U.S. to the list of show trial nations. God help us!
This “judge” isn’t very smart. He’s sure doing his best to hand Trump issue after issue to appeal to higher court.

In alk my life I have never encountered an impartial liberal, or even one that would listen to anything I have to say without interrupting and preventing me from finishing a sentence- not even ONE sentence.
I don’t think that would be a good idea either. Would be like inbred landed nobility never having to be accountable to anyone but themselves.
