Over the last decade, Ukraine has been the battleground in a proxy war between the U.S. and Russia – a conflict massively escalated by the Kremlin’s invasion in 2022. The fight erupted in early 2014, when Biden and his team, then serving in the Obama administration, supported the overthrow of Ukraine’s elected president, Viktor Yanukovych. Leveraging billions of dollars in U.S. assistance, Washington has shaped the personnel and policies of subsequent Ukrainian governments, all while expanding its military and intelligence presence in Ukraine via the CIA and NATO. During this period, Ukraine has not become an independent self-sustaining democracy, but a client state heavily dependent on European and U.S. support, which has not protected it from the ravages of war.
The Biden-Obama team’s meddling in Ukraine has also had a boomerang effect at home.
As well-connected Washington Beltway insiders such as Hunter Biden have exploited it for personal enrichment, Ukraine has become a source of foreign interference in the U.S. political system – with questions of unsavory dealings arising in the 2016 and 2020 elections as well as the first impeachment of Donald Trump. After years of secrecy, CIA sources have only recently confirmed that Ukrainian intelligence helped generate the Russian interference allegations that engulfed Trump’s presidency. House Democrats’ initial attempt to impeach Trump, undertaken in the fall of 2019, came in response to his efforts to scrutinize Ukraine’s Russiagate connection.

No. With Democrats everything is a just a front for the plan to eradicate the Constitution and participate an International Govt.

A strange thing happened after the USSR imploded. Of course the main reason for the trouble is that DC/London and the globalist bankers were covetous and wanted to gain control of all of Russia’s resources.
But there was another element. As deranged as it is, I think some on our side felt denied their “big game”. Since the days of LeMay, there has been an element that wanted a direct US/USSR war. Back in those days they were even pushing for a first strike.
We satisfied ourselves with dogfighting Iraqi MiGs, etc. But what many crazed generals wanted was USAF vs Red Star Russian Air Force. They wanted to send stealths deep into Russia. Shooting cruise missiles at some Syrian airfield is fun, but that is NOT what they were built for.
So imagine the Kansas City Chiefs amped up and ready to go for the Superbowl.... and the other team disbands and doesn’t show up. That would be frustrating as all get out. That is what happened to out leaders, both civilian and military. When the USSR imploded and Russia wanted to be friends and trading partners, our deranged leaders were furious. They lost the very meaning of their existence.
This was in Ukraine, conducting strikes on Crimea, targeting and running strikes on warships and Nordstream thrills them to no end. They want direct war with Russia and are convinced they will never get hit back. They see China the same way. Some very sick people are running this country.
The worked hard for a solid 15 years till they changed Russia back into the enemy they desperately needed.
The American people are just along for the ride.
Another facet was the Left was absolutely enamored with the Soviet Union, Democrats heaped praise and fawning awe on Gorbechov etc.
When the collapse of communism happened the left started acting like a jilted lover.
Ever since then the left has taken every opportunity to punish, castigate, and attack Russia for dumping communism.
So true. They act like a jilted girlfriend, or like moslems going after an apostate.
Would be funny to watch if it wasn’t from people nominally running things.
Thanks for bringing this thread to my attention. I was away from my computer for several days working. I get the feeling a number of regulars are using this time after approval of the Ukraine/Israel/Taiwan funding to get caught up on personal stuff. It will be days or weeks before we begin to really see the effects of these new approvals of funding for defense. With 2 grandsons who enlisted in the US Army last year, I certainly do not look forward to escalation of the world’s woes.
