Experts cited in other FR posts tell us there are MANY terrorist cells here among us now. Who do we have to fear more---THEM or POLITICAL CORRECTNESS??

Were you equally concerned with constitutional law when Clinton with the help of the media, the hollywood elites, the left lawyers and of course the honorable members of the congress and senate who had to tow the party line, defecated all over the constitution and the rule of law? It seems the only time the constitution is respected is when the politically correct agenda is observed, other than those situations its extremely conformable as proven by the Clinton administration. I don't know if your conservative or liberal, I don't care. Fact is I agree with much of your statement, you outlined some intelligent steps toward security with which I agree, steps which should be viewed as common sense, unfortunately due to politically correct nonsense common sense is no longer prevelant among many of our leaders. I'm completely tired of peoples of different nationalities being labeled as an aspect of America instead of being labeled plain and simply Americans. Political correctness must be addressed, not only should it be hunted down and killed, it must be hunted down and emphatically dragged into the light for all to see, and slaughtered there in the light. I don't have all the answers, but I know what does'nt work, the policies of the previous decades leaders share a direct link to the turmoil of today.

"Apparently you are blind and deaf as well as a fearfull little shrew"

Where the heck did that come from? NOTHING in this thread was anything but civil before this childish insult that you prefaced your comment with. Note that I, like many, proceed to the next post after reading such an immature, pathetic, and uncreative attempt at an ad hominem attack. Of course, if you have nothing to say, you have nothing TO use except ad hominem attacks.

Note that you also have violated the guidelines of FR, which you obviously don't care about.

What do you suggest that we do with Arab people living here. Should we round them up and deport them all?

I wrote that we need to "look at them." YOU are the one who injected "round them up and deport them" into the mix, which may "win" an argument in your mind, but which derails the discussion.

As to rounding up and deporting, however, I will say, yes, we deport all on VISAS. THEN they can reapply and we can sort it all out. That is a fair and not unprecedented.

Yes-- removal of all followers of the islamic religion would be preferable. This will not be done so we should stop all immigration of muslims, deport all who are not American citizens and keep watch on American arabs.

That's the logical thing to do for self-preservation, and it's what previous generations would have done---and it is the judgement and actions of previous generations who got us where we are. We won't be so kind to OUR descendants, it seems.

People, however, even some on this board, are so brainwashed with political correctness that the put it before the survival of the Republic. Amazing, isn't it?

Dave S.

Your name-calling on this thread is getting really juvenile. Grow up. You've been here long enough to know better.

Let's see -- being nice to people is more important than dealing with people who arouse our suspicions as terrorists. What IS this, a nation of kindergarten teachers? from

Well, said, Ron. I am crossposting it here because it applies.

So, you're saying that 2 + 2 = 4. But these days, that's a thoughtcrime.

You are of course exactly right. PC doctrines are our weakness and the enemy's strength, and they use them to crush and supress frank and common sense introspection into the root causes and nature of this terrorism. Furthermore, they couch arguments and debates in terms that have no meaningful connection or relation to the problems and questions concerning terrorism and mass murder. If anything good comes out of the immense tragedy that has claimed thousands of innocent lives and untold ones to come, it will be the death of political correctness. It along with other twisted and abhorrent belief systems should too rest in the ash heap of discarded, discredited, and defeated philosophies.

The harsh reality is that Muslims are manning and operating these global militant extremist terrorist cells and networks targeting non-Muslims. Presbyterians, Shintoists, and Pacific Island pagans aren't. According to Islam's religious ideological view, infidels are legitimate targets for elimination as Islam is an absolutist belief system wherein one either converts to it or remains outside of it as its enemy. This is the truth and the reality that one must face. They are not like us, and they do not like us.

Ideological, racial or religious wars of subjugation, conquest or extermination are horrible things. Do we want another Stalingrad or Tarawa? Another Thirty Years War or Hundred Years War? Get the killers, defend the country, mend fences overseas, and rebuild. Do what you have to do to win and take out the bastards, but don't make enemies unnecessarily and escalating into something you can't get out of.

They see diversity as a weakness. Diversity is a weakness if a government local, state and federal cannot defend its people because it is paralyzed by an oversized immigrant population that they don't want to offend. That is a weakness of republics. See Roman Empire.

Exactly! And I don't care how politically incorrect or insensitive people think it is! Although barring immigration is not really right. After all, there are plenty of Muslims who are not murderous terrorists, and therefore should have the same opportunity to come here and flourish as everyone else - but they should certainly be monitored after they get here.

I really need to get a copy of the Quran (Koran?), so I can find out for myself what it really teaches. If it says what many claim, then the whole religion borders on being more of a destructive cult than anything else. I can't imagine trying to read through it though, its probably even more ponderous than the Bible! My apologies to the more pious among us, but you have to admit, the Bible is pretty tough reading!

For the cause of Freedom, I dont care if America has to kill Millions or even Billions of people. There are no limits towards the cause of Freedom, pal.

I shudder at the view of liberty seen through your moral blinders - pal.

In fall of 1991, when I was a senior in high school, our Western Civ. teacher asked a Muslim student to come to our class and talk about his religion. As best I can tell, his family was one of the very first practicing Islam in our entire county in rural North Carolina.

During the Q&A, I asked him, since it was a big deal at the time, what did he think of Salman Rushdie.

"I would have to kill him if I saw him," he said.

This was from a 17-year old kid, in a public high school classroom, and I don't know what was scarier: the fact that he said it with such nonchalance or that the teacher didn't even so much as bat an eyelash.

"We are the World" crowd . . . . Amen to that. Dan Rather is already whining about not killing the innocents, etc. The problem is that most of this country learns from the knee of Dan Rather, Katie Couric, and CNN. --- God help us! Do we have the guts to do the hard thing to save ourselves from destruction? That remains to be seen because I see this country being too fat, too lazy, and too weak to do what is necessary. I hope and pray we will rise to the occasion and do whatever is necessary to erradicate this scourge!
