When Muhhammed defeated the people of Mecca, all he destroyed were the idols. He did not kill everyone and enslave the women and children as was standard practise in tribal warfare those days.

It makes the most complete and simple sense to me. To think otherwise is not very realistic.

So Islam has its roots in early paganistic religions, right? Hate to burst your bubble, but so does Judaism - study up on Adam's "first wife", Lilith. And Christianity - ask yourself the origins of Christmas (not Christ's birthday) or Easter. I hate that so many people seem willing to jump on the idea that this is some kind of Christian crusade.

So where in scripture does one find Lilith ? You might want to read this piece Lilith

Like so much she is a lie from the pit of hell.

Don't you find it at all peculiar that the only thing that seperates your vehement belief in your God, and their vehement belief in their God, is the geographical accident of your birth?

Spoken like the true moral relativist that you are! There is decernable truth and evil in the world, and every human regardless of their birth location has the capacity and duty to understand these. Muslims who embrace the taking of innocent life for the sake of their "Religion" have made their choice and demonstrate that they are little but "humanist" dupes who have no place a God's table. Theirs will be a terrible and swift judgement.

Far from silliness OWK.

Any philosophies or "religions" which turn a person away from the Almighty God and His Son are ultimately inspired by demons.

Take it or leave it.

It's your eternal life.

The super-secret-magic name of god to ALL pagan-evolutionists is "ego".
(They ALL hate "Jesus".)
IMHO

You have the cart before the horse.

That demon-goddess apocryphal wench Lilith isn't worshipped by Christians or Jews at all, but by ex-Christian pagan new-agers. And as I mentioned before, Christians only adopted the *date* of Christmas so converted pagans could just use that traditional date to worship Christ instead of their old gods No one knows when Jesus was actually born so one date is as good as any other. And of course Jesus' resurrection is what is celebrated on Easter by real Christians. The pagan fertility rite isn't performed and the Easter bunny isn't worshipped.

Modern liberal Christianity is now being corrupted and merging with the New-Age muck though, so you may have been confused by those "Christians."

True. I'm just trying to understand how so many in this this "peaceful loving" religion accept demonic activity in the name of this Allah character. I'm learning.

How not to make friends and influence people, by OWK

AmishDude, You forgot method #8:

...My point was simply that the religious indoctrintation of one's youth, overwhelmingly determines the religious faith of one's adulthood.

If you have no proof, underline.

, it reads a lot like someone wrote it attempting to be in the style of Jewish & Christian writings

Reminds me of the Book of Mormon, IMHO written by another false prophet

"If you have no proof, underline".

Very funny. You poor simple yokels ought to be grateful for the epistemological handholds OWK provides you as he attempts to illumine your stumbling attempts to think and express yourselves coherently.

Myself, I'm of the opinion that he ought to take Jesus' advice and 'shake the dust from his feet'.

I gave up suffering fools gladly decades ago.

Islam, Judaism, and Christianity have each been claiming that the others have "got it all wrong" for centuries.

Islam claims the terrorists who crashed airplanes into buildings full of innocent people on September 11 were heroes. Judaism and Christianity claim that Islam has it all wrong.

Sorry, kid. Moral relativism perished at 10:29 am EDT on Tuesday, September 11, 2001.

And another floppy-shoed opinion stumbles onto the stage, to loose the equivalent of a rubber chicken from his slack intellectual bow.

Just as Chrisitianity claimed the crusaders who raped and plundered their way through Islam were heroes.

The difference between you and I... Is that I condemn both as evil.

You won't find it in scripture, but you will find it in early Hebrew mythology. You also won't find any reference to a "Moon God" in the Koran.

True. And the vast majority of modern day Muslims do not worship any "moon god". You can find stories of Lilith in early Hebrew mythology, the precursor to the Torah and hence, the Bible. My point is that many religions have odd beginnings and practices rooted in paganism, not just Islam.
