Freepers! Help! I am new to this forumA "bump" moves your article to the top of Latest Posts so it stays in sight and more people read it.
A "ping" is when someone calls somebody else to read your article, which bumps it at the same time.
Those words in capital letters are acronyms for things like Laughing Out Loud (LOL). One can usually fill in the blanks.
To: layman
1. Bump: You are holding up traffic here and someone rammed you in the butt to speed things up.
2. LOL!: Lay off the liquor, you aren't making sense
3. PING!: Someone threw a drink glass at you or took a shot at you and just missed and it ricocheted off the steel post just to your right. Usually done by FReepers who are just plain pissed off at everything and everyone. Don't worry, they are bad shots and usually run out of booze or ammo pretty fast..
