Ramblings of a 26 year old with 13 beers

If everyone is equal then no one deserves more than the next man in line. Right? What does deserve mean? Is everyone equal from birth? Are some created better than others? Are some born with more? Is this the difference? What is more? Is it more money? More Love? How do you quantify Love? What is it? Does it make you better? The questions of our Country.

Are these questions that can be answered? If so, why are they questions to this day? Did we create a country based on the rich getting richer? Is taking more from the rich to make someone with less better off the right thing to do? Is this fair? Thomas Sowell. Constrained vs. Unconstrained. Does the pie grow larger—Yes? Is it at the expense of other people in distant lands? I think not. Why does a diamond have value? People. Economy. Wants… Needs.

Have we been lied to? By whom? Why do we pay property taxes? Whose land is this? Free American’s… The Government’s. Are Republicans the party of the rich or the party of freedom from the powerful? Are Democrats the party of equality or theft? Is Robin Hood a noble goal?  Can corporations be too powerful? Limitations would limit us. Non-regulation could turn us over to them. Who decides the happy mediums? Why?

Just wondering.

"You sound just like a 13 year old with 26 beers."

And you sound like someone who has never wondered just what the heck this is all aboutl

i used to be sales manager for a local distributing company here..all the salesmen were strictly commission...to motivate them, i posted this little cartoon on the bulletin board in the sales room..don't remember where i got it and unfortunately don't still have it...the cartoon was of a man riding a donkey..the caption was...to get on your feet, you must first get off your ass!! i have never forgotten this little cartoon..sometimes the most prophetic truths can be so simple.

I resent stupid, motivational cartoons.

How about, "to ride an ass, you must first get off your feet." I like that one much better....

Since you know it all... explain it to me.

It's easy to be in the peanut gallery.

Bob Dylan's Dream

While riding on a train goin' west,
I fell asleep for to take my rest.
I dreamed a dream that made me sad,
Concerning myself and the first few friends I had.

With half-damp eyes I stared to the room
Where my friends and I spent many an afternoon,
Where we together weathered many a storm,
Laughin' and singin' till the early hours of the morn.

By the old wooden stove where our hats was hung,
Our words were told, our songs were sung,
Where we longed for nothin' and were quite satisfied
Talkin' and a-jokin' about the world outside.

With haunted hearts through the heat and cold,
We never thought we could ever get old.
We thought we could sit forever in fun
But our chances really was a million to one.

As easy it was to tell black from white,
It was all that easy to tell wrong from right.
And our choices were few and the thought never hit
That the one road we traveled would ever shatter and split.

How many a year has passed and gone,
And many a gamble has been lost and won,
And many a road taken by many a friend,
And each one I've never seen again.

I wish, I wish, I wish in vain,
That we could sit simply in that room again,
Ten thousand dollars at the drop of a hat,
I'd give it all gladly if our lives could be like that.

Are you sure that you are not smoking bud? 13 beers and not really any typing errors to speak of. Pretty damn good.As for the party of the rich...which ex-president and first lady signed the biggest advance ever?

You have to find the answers for yourself. Nobody can drink the beer for you.

13 beers?

That's the problem with your generation...

...you're all a bunch of underachievers.

It's all about what happens when a person has too much beer.

Like I said. I already think I have the answers. Just as yourself. Never ask a question you don't know the answer to. I want to hear yours.

Just wondering.

If you can still ask all the right questions after 13 beers than either your beer is not worth the money, or you have way too much practice and should cut back.

Anyway, what I really wanted to say is that you have brought up all the good questions, and anyone who suggests a simple answer to you is wrong. Life's complicated.

Would it have mattered if I had titled this something else? I would imagine most people on this forum have had these thoughts run through their heads at some point. Maybe not you.. but most people. Just thought I would type them out and see what people had to say. I'm not trying to question anything you think. Nobody is making you read this. Freewill.

I think it goes more like, never ask a question you don't want the answer to, but anyway. For someone to be truly rich they don't have to have a lot of money or a big house, they just need good people to hang out with and common interests with those people. And if I only asked questions I knew the answers to I wouldn't know s*#t.
