Living here in JP, the Boston area land of liberals and lesbians, I have put up with much abuse over the years from these nut-balls. I happened to be one of those "some people" and the word "uncomfortable" did not come out of my mouth in my message. Most of what I said could not be printed. This was the first time that I tried something as an individual and actually got my reward.

You GO! I would haved loved to have heard a direct quote from you. We do not live under the tutelage of the UN....we are the United States.

It is a damn shame that they would not let you publicly burn it to "assuage your discomfort"!!!

Good for you. The UN playing a key role? Nah...They are just butting in; as usual.

Flag burning has something to recommend it. But that, probably, would be taken as breaking the law.

Wow, you forgot to add a "barf alert" to the title. Maybe at our next Freep, the unwashed will let me carry the UN flag.

Thank you for speaking up. It's heartening to see that being a Conservative here in the Comonwealth is not a lost cause.
This story brightened my day.

Excellent work. As someone who has spent some time in JP, I salute your tenacity in a hostile environment.

Good for you. That ugly blue rag belongs in a Unitarian "church" anyway, and not where any American has to suffer the sight of it. Thanks for standing up.

But, be very careful individual activism, can be addicting. :-)

I'm proud of you!! Last July some friends and I burned the UN flag in front of the courthouse here in Fayetteville AR!
Unbelievable responses (positive) from people driving by including local law enforcement giving us the thumbs up! FReep on!
