Crouch might actually be in the NFL, and do well. Team leadership qualities count for something, option quarterbacking notwithstanding. The Colorado debacle can be laid upon the Nebraska "Trent Lott" defense.
Still, Grossman deserved the trophy.

I would have voted for David Carr, but Crouch is a good winner nonetheless, a solid athlete.

From ESPN.COM:
"He's one of only three major college quarterbacks to run for 3,000 yards and pass for 4,000 yards in a career."
Also stated he is the first true option quarterback to win the award.

I think Crouch will get drafted, but all bets are off on what position he will play. He says QB, but I think his arm is not pro caliber. But he is one good athlete.

Heisman conspiracy...threaten to sue? What in the h-ll are you talking about? Lame shots at FSU. FSU has had way more than its share of felons/losers. As they say, can't get into UF? Go to FSU...

Oh yeah, old Tom Rathman and Roger Craig...a couple of degenerates, right? Want convicts? Choose one of the Florida teams. Nebraska consistently puts out quality running backs.

I agree. Potential impact player as a flanker, WR, kick returner. Back-up QB role with a Jerry Rhome-type coach guiding him.
I can see him in St. Louis or with the Titans. God help him if drafted by the Lions or the Cowboys. Maybe he needs WLAF seasoning.

I dunno if this has been mentioned, haven't waded through all the mudslinging, but Nebraska has no lock on actively recruiting thugs. Matter of fact, Tennessee seems to have an ongoing soap opera of miscreants, but the school and state tries their best to keep it quiet. Didn't they reextend an offer to a punk accused of molesting a girl in the dorm on his recruiting visit? After a lot of bad publicity(thanks to Neal Boortz, among others) they withdrew the scholarship offer, but have quietly reextended it, IIRC. No doubt a free calling card will be given to him also.

Yes you did state facts, partial ones I felt. I just tried to complete those facts.
If you are just dealing with facts pertinent to winning the Heisman, what exactly does "winning its own *division*" have to do with anything. I did not realize Crouch played defense as well.

How does one attack an ATM machine? ;)

Don't forget Grant Wistrom playing for St. Louis. Good defensive player.

Hmmm. The (big) name Michael Irvin comes to mind. What an upstanding citizen and role model. Was he from Nebraska? No, I didn't think so.

According to the police report, with a chair. He said the ATM started the altercation though.

LSU is behind 17-16 and coming on strong. I hope they win. It would make the heads of the anti-Nebraska folks explode! ;)

No only that, it would make the BCS explode. Much better.
Though I bet if LSU does win(still a quarter remaining, but they just took the lead), somehow they'll figure out a way to keep Nebraska out by .00001 points. But who do you pick? Oregon didn't look impressive, Colorado is the trendiest and allegedly the hottest, but Illinois and Maryland only have 1 loss(same as BYU, but...hahahahaha).
Nothing against you Tennessee, but we need a playoff, and a BCS meltdown certainly helps.
