Case in point: during the conviction trial of President Clinton, Senator Lott allowed extremely constrictive rules that would in effect not allow the House Managers to present their case. No witnesses, etc.In that regards, other nominees would have to be Senator Fred Thompson of Tennessee and Senator Stevens of Alaska. According to David Schippers, they sat with their heads in there heads and stared at the table while the Dems dictated the terms of the Senate proceedings. Schippers said the closest thing to an ally the house managers had in the room was Loserman!

I think with the 100-0 airline 'security' boondoggle vote, ALL 49 Rep Senators need to be nominated. Probably 90% of the House deserves nomination. I.e., there aren't many 'R' politicians who aren't RINOs in one way or another.
