There was a thread earlier about a conservative plant on the DTR message board. I came across another potential outing. The response from the moderator is quite funny. I hope you enjoy.

Hmmmm......looks like DTR doesn't believe in freedom of speach.
If someone "sounds" like a Republican, they're gone.

If you want to post it here I'll give it a read but I'm not going to go over there and get crap on my shoes so to speak.

Posts removed because it was undemocratic Uh..

Freedom of Speech in action. Sorry but this is not a free speech issue. This is a property rights issue. The owner has the right to ban anyone for any reason, just as FreeRepublic has the right to ban anyone.

"Sanders posts look pretty Republican to me. Sanders attacked Condit, attacked Democrats over guns and defended Zell Miller's betrayal of Democratic ideas. He is gone....Sanders also parroted the Republican line that the Anthrax attacks were foreign terrorists "Certainly anyone who can do any of :
find fault with Condit,
support the second amendment,
defend Zell Miller or
assert that the Anthrax attacks might be from other than domestic right-wing screwballs
Cannot be a democrat. Crockett is an A-hole and not a particularly bright one at that.

Post removed because it was politically incorrect. Since the poster has voiced an opinion contrary to the politics of the moderator, that opinion will not be heard, i.e. Post removed because moderator IS undemocratic, which means that he IS a typical member of the Democrat party.

If they consider Bin Laden to be their personal protection, then they should pay. Fair justice against Bin Laden is expensive and particularly prohibitive in time of war when the job of our judges and law enforcement is subverted by threats of death.

your point is well taken.
here on the free repulic it seems to me that anyone is welcome and few get banned. those that do get banned are for being obnoxious and 'stalkers' who are following certain people, for the most part. we tend to self police ourselves so banning is not required.
at dtr, there is a screening process. if the screener makes an error, the offender is bannished. it is an example of an organization that will not tolerate free speech and hegelian ideas, but as you say, it is not a free speech issue.

Some on the left have are still pinning their hopes on bin laden being innocent and GW Bush being guilty. What a hoot it is to watch them deny reality. It shows how hard they must work to hang on to their twisted perception of the world.

Why does it not surprise me that liberals are allowed (or at least tolerated) on conservative forums, but the reverse isn't true? Oh yes, that's why. Huge precident from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and the like.... Yet they claim that we are the ones who are intolerant. It was easier for them to get away with doing so when we didn't have our own forums! WOW 179 members. I notice that one "Wendell McFly" agrees with Crocket's removal of our mole.
