More important than Conservative of the Day, does that mean you aren't gonna bump the thread anymore?

As a GOOD army 'brat,' I'd think you would appreciate Keyes' placing important emphasis on the military, especially at this time. I like his idea of jndoing the Panama Canal carter giveaway, just as Bush undoes our treaty with Russia, for example..

Who would you honestly like to have in the Whitehouse, given all that has transpired in 2001 - W, Gore, or Keyes?

Just to point something out to you that you seem not to have noticed -- THE ELECTION IS OVER, everything being said now by a candidate in that election no longer is some form of electioneering. Having said that, if I could go back in time, and vote in the 2000 primaries and general elections, in the situation as it was then, and what we know now of their characters, it would still be 1) Keyes, 2) Bush, and 3) Gore for me. However I have been rather satisfied by much of Bush's performance, and expect to have no problem supporting him for reelection in 2004.

Keyes will use his show to bash Republicans, and promote HIMSELF and the Democratic leadership in congress.

How about a little wager Common. Every time Keyes directs an attack on Bush, ort promotes the Democrats in congress, I will pay you $50. Every time he promotes conservative principles, or attacks liberal ideas or liberals, you will pay me $50. We will have to have some neutral party hold the bets. Are you on?

The majority of his campaign contributions will come from the DEMONrats

The contributors to Presidential campaigns are a matter of public record. You can get them from the FEC in computer file format. If you can show that most of his contributors were also contributors to national democrats, I'll buy you a dinner in Washington at CPAC. If you can't you buy me dinner. Is it a deal?

There are many things Alan Keyes says that I would wholeheartedly agree with. It's that I really don't like his sniping at President Bush (to be clear: I HATE IT), and to be perfectly honest with you, I think he's kind of a self-absorbed, holier-than-thou...well, jerk. That "massa" stuff and the "You don't give me face time 'cause I'm black" business during the campaign was rather off-putting to me. I think he has some great things to say. I also think he would make a dreadful, divisive president. But I love it when people give the men and women in military service their proper respect and attention, as you suggested - yes, I do like that.

I agree. Ken Hamblin comes on at 2:00am now. He did come on at 4:00pm. He was replaced with Dr. Joy Brown.

. The guy's so shrill and off-putting I can't imagine him surviving long on TV, unless he learns to tone it down a bit.

He can't do that. "Shrill and off-putting" is the essensce of his personality.

The only reason MSNBC hired him is because they know he doesn't like Bush and they think it would be great to have a conservative within their network bash W day in and day out.

Yup,that and the fact his personality fits in with the stereotypes the left has of conservatives, shrill, preachy, and domineering. They think this might help them damage all conservatives in the public eye.

This truly is wonderful news. Just getting the message out, just getting the name out -- so much can happen with this venture. I'll keep praying.

Yes it is wonderful news, and I concur with your sentiments. Anyone who doesn't think that Dr. Keyes is "temporate" enough for his own show, just doesn't get it. I've seen him persuade and baffle his opponents, time and again.

Keyes and the majority of his fans add a layer of superiority to their remarks and it incites people that don't agree.

Just because someone speaks with an aura of superiority, doesnt mean that he or she is trying to demean someone else. The only way I would confuse that with an insult is if I was totally insecure. Bush supporters really show their weak side when they take honest criticisms as personal attacks. Go back and read the old threads on affirmative action, education, etc. It is impossible these days to criticize a federal govt policy without getting called dirty names. That is aweful and only befitting liberals. It is the Bush fans who need to change the tone, something that their prophet vows to do in Washington.

And you are a total idiot. I am glad you provide evidence with all the moronic hypotheses you make. Again, if he is so irrelevant then why do you care what he says.

You can rest assured that they will not allow him to use their network to argue against what they had in mind all the time.

I would not be surprised if something like this happened. Of course, his column on wnd.com probably gets more readers that 90% of MSNBC programming does viewers.

Funny coincidence that this great idea of damaging conservatism by featuring Amb. Keyes never occurred to them until conservatives on news shows started to get great ratings. Yep, just a coincidence -- NOT!

Maybe they didn't think they needed Keyes for this until recently, when conservatives started being so popular? Maybe they see Keyes as the "cure" for this "problem"?
