Politically correct Army The political correctness of the Clinton administration may be coming back to haunt the Pentagon. An official tells us the Army in 1998 produced a "force-protection" video guide that lectured soldiers that terrorism was a relative term. "It is one of the most politically correct, apologetic, anti-American diatribes I've ever seen," the official told us. "You'd think it was produced by al Qaeda. It begins by stating that the 'Christian Crusaders' were terrorists in their time." The Army video also puts forth the notion that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, pointing out that French resistance fighters in World War II were terrorists because they blew up bridges during Nazi occupation. The analogy is upsetting because the U.S. Army provided assistance to the French fighters, and bridges are legitimate military targets in military operations. "The video describes terrorists in the most complimentary terms, calling them 'highly motivated, very disciplined individuals who regard us as legitimate combatants,'" said our informant. "This suggests good faith beliefs by Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda legitimizes their actions." The Army video is not just politically damaging. It is expected to cause legal problems for the Pentagon and Justice Department in their efforts to prosecute terrorists involved in the Pentagon and World Trade Center attacks.

Why is he giving him a free pass via Executive Orders?
HorseHillary! If that bleeping lunatic was a good General,I'm going to be the next Pope. He was a Clinton pal from the Arkansas NG or Reserves who was put in that position because he was a Clinton buddy. Clinton finally had to remove him from the job when his insanity became so obvious that General Jackson from the British Army started refusing to follow his orders. Bubba bin Bombing had no choice but to remove him to keep his Eastern European ducks in a row. Clarke belongs in a mental institution, not wearing a uniform.
Scroll down, it's in the middle of the column. I am not technically adept.
Careful! You are going to be attacked by Bush-Bots for saying that. I've even had them deny he signed this XO,and then had them claim Bubba Bush has some kind of "secret plan" we know nothing about that is working in the background.
The choice of reenlisting under that scum-bag was a no-brainer
I remember the videos we used to see in the Reagan/Bush army. They were all about terrorists, the big bad Russians et al, and what to do when confronted by a Warsaw Pact machine-gun.
In comes Colonel Clinkton and service just started to suck.
Coincidence?--I think not.
Take no offense when I state that Clarke followed orders that on hindsight we can see helped enemies of the U.S. As a quote on the OBL network from Forbes shows -
I retired in March 1992. In my time, I was starting to see way too many officers and some senior NCOs who were bucking for the next grade at the expense of anyone ahead of them. I hated those people. If I could not make the next rank by my own hard work, then I did not want it because I was not going to kiss anyone's ass to get it. I was outspoken in my final years of duty because I felt these types and the do-nothings were getting further than the workers. I was told several times to shut up. But, I always got my piece in. I grew more and more fed up with the crap as I got closer to retirement. I was fed up with these ass kissers, do nothings and political types. I was fed up with the lack of traning, the lack of caring for the troops.
I have always understood the old Army addage that the mission comes first, however, I have also felt that if you did not take care of the troops, you would not have a damned mission except on paper. That has shown in the past few years. I am hoping that Rummy, Bush, and Chaney put the pride back into the force again. I am proud of the grunts and types that put it on the line, but there are still too many politicals worried about that next star for me. In fact, I kept turning down one of my colonel's who wanted me to be a warrant officer. I told him that I was a sergeant and that I was not that type of person to be an officer, that I would not fit in at the Officer's Club. I'd just stay an enlisted man.
This is a GREAT idea. Someone had posted "Jihad in America" here-- so let's roll!
I mean...it aint like I said anything that wasnt true.
Right?
We all know that Army brass put a little twich in their hips when the Clintons came calling.
I wouldnt for a moment disrespect JSOC or Special Forces. They like the Marines and unlike the rest of the Army, kept the effeminates at arms length instead of becoming like them.
Now....our ranks are clean of their ilk while others are going to have to fumigate just in order to get back on path.
:o)
Semper Fi
Terrorists do what terrorists do. When you scratch one, you pretty much know what you'll find.
