This is the e-mail I sent today I am a Viet Nam Veteran, my son-in-law is a member of the special forces fighting in Afghanistan, and my daughter is a Captain in the U.S. Army also. Those two wonderful kids along with several others are putting their lives on the line and some have an will lose them for you and I, and the slap in the face that you give to the commander in chief is just out of touch with the world. If the terrorists win this war Social Security will not do anyone any good. And this total BS of a Social Security lock box is just that BS. Your comic by Mike Mariand showing Bush flying into the Trade Towers is outragious. Do any of you have any brains, common sense or decency? Apparently not. I think you should give the guy a gift on this Friday...called a Pink Slip. If you approved this comic, you should give yourself one too.

Here's my letter

Dear Mr. Travis, I just saw that awful cartoon of our President flying a plane into the WTC. This is really sickening. I cried every day, all day, for months after September 11. I knew some of the firemen who were killed in that terrorist attack. To think you would print a cartoon, of all things, making light of our grief and sorrow is truly disgusting. I intend to let everyone I know about this disgraceful cartoon.
