In about five years she'll be out of prison and back working in the nursing homes "caring" for the elderly. Shudder.
The drugs didn't kill the victim, the automobile did. Well, actually, no, the driver did!
But you knew knew that already. You were just trying to make a point. sorry it didn't work out for you. Please feel free to try again.
Another mechanic I see. I also work as a mechanic (autos, boats, lite-duty trucks etc.) and I understand fully what your saying. Some people can't imagine what its like trying to work under a dash in some extremely cramped up spaces. I'm 6'3" 286lbs in relatively good health and sometimes its damn near impossible for me to do something without the aid of a gofer.
I can't even fathom what it'd be like impaled upon a windshield after being hit by a car with both legs broken, bleeding, in shock, in agony and than slowly dying while some POS won't have the decency to accept the responsibility for her actions and get me help.
""She is not the monster that police and prosecutors are making her out to be," said Mike Heiskell, Mallard's attorney. "She was simply a frightened, emotionally distraught young woman who had an accident, panicked and made a wrong choice."
Amazing, the liar lawyer makes it sound like she's the victim here.
"Heiskell said his client is only guilty of failing to stop and render aid not murder."
My God, she drove to her home with a man sticking out of her windshield bleeding and with two broken legs. This isn't your ordinary hit and run.
"The attorney said the victim died a few hours after Mallard drove home and was in her garage no more than 24 hours."
Oh I guess everything's ok, he was only stuck in the windshield bleeding and in agony for a few hours [/sarcasm]
"but he had no internal injuries that would have caused his death..."
Now I see. Instead of just lying around on top of her car he should've dragged his broken body off her nice car (probably ruined her paint job) and found a hospital and got his own damn help. [/sarcasm]
"Mallard was arrested Wednesday night and was later after posting bail . If convicted, she faces a sentence ranging from five years to life in prison."
She'll probably get 6 months and community service, like maybe a crossing guard.
"There's a pretty good possibility he'd be alive if he'd gotten help, but she concealed the body in the garage ... so that's why she's charged with murder," said Fort Worth police Lt. David Burgess."
That says it all. Her liar lawyer has one thing correct, she's not a monster. A monster would've killed its victim, not let 'em suffer. She's more like a DEMON FROM THE DARKEST BOWELS OF HELL.and she should be sent back to them.
My heart and all my prayers go out to this man's family.

Yes, with the intellectual laziness of some Freepers, subtlety is probably not the best way to go.
Didn't 8 years of Clintonianism teach you to parse these lawyers and their statements?
