What about the Texas cases like the little girl in the closet or the mother drowning her children. The mother is on trial now so he can't say that he forgot about the case.

I think you folks are being a little harsh on this young lady. She had been drinking, using Ecstacy, and it was very late at night. She was tired. She was horny. After a night of total self-indulgence, who wants the hassle of a nosy white guy in your business?

I see nothing in this story to mitigate what she did. The accident itself was manslaughter even if she was under the influence. But taking the injured man home, waiting for him to die, disposing of the body, removing the car seats and windshield, and planning to burn the car all mean she had plenty of time to think about it and do the right thing. Once she had him a prisoner in her garage, I think she committed murder.

Look on the bright side. If Gregory Biggs hadn't been spiked through Chante's windshield, he probably would have been charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

At least the poor soul died with his honor intact...

Maybe someone noticed that, unlike the victim of the horrific and hateful dragging incident, the victim in the present case died in agony over a period of two days.

Relatively vastly trivial aside: when I was in grammar school, a lady backed her car over me.

I had stopped my bike when I saw she was about to back out. I saw her look in ther rearview mirror, then stop. I figured she'd seen me, so I went on. When I was mostly past, she resumed backing up (she'd only been applying makeup as it turned out, as I recall). She kocked me down and I was pinned under my bike, which she backed over (back tire).

She looked out and saw what she had done.

Then she pulled forward...running over me again.

Surprisingly, I was mostly unhurt.

And now for the punchline.

She was on her way to nursing class!

Now let's not go crazy attacking her lawyer. The guy might be privately appalled at this dispicable act. However, as her attorney he has to start formulating her defense.
