" Mr. Heiskell said, asking the judge to "look past the emotion and determine what is right and just." People wonder why lawyers get a bad rap???.
She should be charged with a hate crime, not because he is white, but because he is homeless
If the roles were reversed, certainly every race pimp in the country would descend on Ft Worth like locust in biblical times.
I used to live in Cowtown, (FT. Worth) it is not very PC and Texans in general don't put up with a lot of BS from outsiders

The perpetrator showed absolutely no sign of humanity by not getting the vicitm help. She's in deep trouble.
The informant showed courage and character by turning in her evil "friend".

We'll know that this has reached the level of a hate crime when Jesse and Al descend on this town like circus barkers. Of course to them the hate crime will be charging this woman with murder.

" Mr. Heiskell said, asking the judge to "look past the emotion and determine what is right and just." I think the judge did that....by raising the bail!

"I guarantee you she's not going anywhere. She doesn't have anywhere to go and doesn't know where to go," Mr. Heiskell said, asking the judge to "look past the emotion and determine what is right and just." How's that for lawyering. He tells the judge that she doesn't know where to go and has no place to go, and therefore is not a flight risk. So, in other words, if she KNEW of a place to go, and if she HAD a place to go to, she would be outta there. Sorry counselor, she's already received help in dumping the body and trying to destroy evidence. With friends like that, I doubt finding a place to go to would be all that difficult. Bail should $1 million.

I could not disagree more. The term "Hate crime" is redundant. EVERY crime is a hate crime. Why should SOME lives be more valuable then others? If he had a home would the crime be any less henous? Murder is murder, lets treat them all the same.

By media standards, this WOULD be a hate crime if he were black and she were white. Now it's kind of ho-hum, it's happened, let's move along. Nothing to see here.
OMG! If reports are true, this man was in agony for at least 1, perhaps 2 to 3 days, and this unbelievable woman checks on him and apologizes? As my daughter-in-law says, she must have had a brain farht--no other explanation----unless, perhaps----racism?
