Now That Bush Has Sold Us Out... What are we going to do about it? (vanity)

Posted on 03/13/2002 2:47:41 PM PST by Michael2001

Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.

Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?

I said he was witholding financial support from the RNC. That is not the same as voting third party. We have election by secret ballot in this country. I can't say with certainty who anyone votes for except myself.

Ref Post 167. You can fool some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. When are you going to move out of the first and second categories?

Sure. I'll agree, that's a whole lot better. Kick all the bums out and start over. What is your plan for getting this done?

This thread has all the makings of a pre-November 2002 slug fest. People rightfully observe that our nation is headed straight for the ditch, and yet the biggest arguement is not over how to avoid the ditch, but who's party the driver will be from when we arrive there.

What a waste of time.

Both the Democrat and Republican drivers are driving recklessly. Isn't it time we found a driver that will observe the Constitutional rules of the road?

Evidently not...

This nation is rotting from the head, just like a stinking dead fish. Praise the Lord, we can go down as Republicans.

Folks, the Republican Party is NEVER going to return to it's base. Wake the F up. Stop walking in a daze. Open your eyes. Lower your arms from straight out in front of you. And regroup.

Out nation needs you and a new party. The old parties are NOT going to let you take over. Get over it. Get on with your life. Join a third party today.

I was so angry last night, I wrote the following to president@whitehouse.gov:

To Whoever Is Reading This:
If you want to keep your job another term, you best tell your boss he'd better explain why he pushed for the amnesty legislation.
His core constituency is pissed. What a total betrayal. I stood in zero degree weather at Mr. Bush's inauguration.

You ask your boss, for what?
At least Democrats are honest about how much they hate America.

To add salt to the wound, this is the autoresponse I got:
Thank you for emailing President Bush. Your ideas and comments are very important to him.

If your message is about the September 11 terrorist attack on the United States, please click go to www.whitehouse.gov to learn more about the American response and to receive or provide help in the recovery efforts.

As the President said recently, one in three Afghan children is an orphan and almost half suffer chronic malnutrition. He has asked American children to help Afghan children by making contributions of one dollar individually or collectively to:

America's Fund for Afghan Children C/O The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC 20509-1600

He voted for the amnesty bill, too.

How cool. I send back my RNC (minus donation) and told them to stop CFR because it is unconstitutional and then contact me again.

Clinton didn't grant amnesty to millions of criminal illegal aliens, like apparently President Bush is getting ready to do.

read Schippers BOOK SELLOUT about Gore/ Clinton allowing all the aliens with criminal records to become citizens
Learn something before you mouth off
BTW A poll of businessmen showed 85% said the good times were due to REAGAN's Policies and the GOP congress and as I stated the recesion started under Clinton

Oh yeah. A Democrat president will learn them good.

It's not that I don't appreciate the spiteful mindset, I do, really I do, but come on. Four years of another Democrat? Does that really sound like a fair trade to you?

We're not as informed as Bush is.

Who's "we"?

A lot of us are pretty sharp. And some of us aren't so ignorant as to let our so-called "leaders" do what they want just because they (and/or their supporters) claim to be "more informed" than the rest of the unwashed masses.

I didn't vote for Bush thinking he would do everything I wanted. I guess some of you did. Every month or two he does something that "loses the vote" of quite a few of you. How many times can he lose your vote, and where will you go with that vote if one of these times he actually has lost it?

Here, here. Even a 10% shift to a third party and all those spineless codgers will change their tune in half a gnats heartbeat or less. Is that the only way to get them to change? To put the fear of un-employment in 'em?
