The CROSSFIRE is it a Bust?
CNN | 1 April 2002 | John Paul Jones

Posted on 04/01/2002 3:23:02 PM PST by JohnPaulJones

Food for thought! While surfing the tube tonight I stop and watched 5 minutes of the new Crossfire with Tucker and the old Clinton Clan "Carville and crew" interviewing little Tommy....Of what I saw this show is bound to bust and again CNN goes down...Any thoughts?

Aww, come on now...Tucker faithfully spews the Party line, has minimal imagination, lacks original thought. He's the journalistic equivalent of cotton candy - slightly pink, fluffy and entirely without substance. He is a perfect Republican.

Wow, what a great thread. The first thing I said to my husband when he walked in was THE NEW CROSSFIRE was just awful. It was not just a screaming match, but a forum for a bunch of lies and Clinton propaganda. CarVILE even went retro on us with it's the economy stupid Clintonisms - and that Clinton was at least elected legally and not appointed the Supreme Court. I can't stand to hear these people anymore. They scare me big time because SO many people believe their lies. They stick to a script so that dumb libs hear the lies enough and just accept them as truth

Good point ... Dont watch shows that have slime like Carville ... do NOT support their ratings, it is paying for their dinner. Carville needs to quite politics and do something more respectable, like join the circus.

) seriously; they are only good for entertainment.

And only if you enjoy watching two rabid, incoherent hounds trying to chew up a poodle through a plexiglas sheild.

Bill Press was fired and replaced by CarVILE and the forehead. Also rumor has it they are trying to woo Phil Donahue, my hero, because he helped get Bush elected. I want to encourage ALL Liberals to vote for Nader...YES

"A woman cooking sausages almost tied us last week! A guy at my tennis club says it should be called The Sun Also Sucks!"

LOL. Seriously though, Carville and Begala on the same stage night after night is too much for my stomach to handle. I saw about 30 seconds of it flipping around, just long enough to recoil violently when I saw Carville, shudder involuntarily at the sight of Begala, and hear Bob Novak shout at Carville "would you just get over Clinton already!" :)

Hitler has more manners than Carvile and Begala put TOGEHER....What a Horrible show

They say Hitler was quite manerly.. He just gave people gas.

The real propblem with CNN is they don't have a clue. Elections are quite close. There are about the same number of Democrcrat voters as there are Republican. CNN can't figure out why they can't attract a few million on the left.

They don't understand that the typical Democratic voter never watches the news or political shows. They will tune in for the Gulf War, Serbia, and 911 but that is abouit it. A few days after the war or attack dies down the Democrats are watching entertainment. They are never going to watch Cross File. Attempts do draw the left are doomed to fail.

The only audience for political talk is on the right. That is why there is no lefist Rush Limbaugh. The left has never had success in talk radio. And they won't have success in talk TV. They think that if they get a more animated Democrat, Cross Fire will draw a big leftist audience. First with Kingsley and then with Press their attempts failed. Now with Carville and Begala they will fail again.

CNN wants people on the right to lose on the show. Teh only possible audience wants them to win. If the guys on the right don't lose on the show they will fire them. They use Novak and Carlson. Both of them know that if they do a good job representing the right, they will be fired. On the other side, they are supposed to win and draw audience doing it. None of them know how. The fact is no one no matter how good can draw an audience on the left.

Fox is going for the Middle and CNN is always for the left. Neither side has figured it out.

For political shows only the right draws an audience.

"Yes, Tucker Carlson is a beltway dork and an embarassment to our party."

I kind of thought that too; but I thought he did an admirable job against those idiot's; as did Robert Novack. You can tell it's all out war and the libs are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at President Bush; and I'm here to tell ya; it ain't gonna work. They are on "Life Support" if all they have to throw out is these two idiot's (Carville & Begala). Game, Set, Match!
