The widening crusade to add the slogan "Choose Life" to auto tags received a boost last week when a federal appeals court dismissed a challenge to a Louisiana program that uses $25 from each specialty license plate sold to help fund adoptions.

The Mississippi Legislature just approved a "Choose Life" Tag this week. The Governor will sign it. They also approved new restrictions on state tax dollars being used to pay for abortions at the Univ. of Mississippi Medical Center.

Complainants included a group of taxpayers, Planned Parenthood and the National Council of Jewish Women, which charged the law advances "Christian fundamentalism." Excuse me! Not sacrificing your children to Molech is a Jewish thing too!!

the National Council of Jewish Women, which charged the law advances "Christian fundamentalism."Despicable and another case of Christian high moral values used against them. This won't change Christian's firm support of Israel one iota and the National Council of Jewish Women knows it. If the NCJW had a shred of decency, however, they would back off on their attacks on Christians.
Imagine if a Christian group sued in court because of something so trivial as a vague saying on a license plate. Imagine a Christian group claiming it "advances" a form of Judaism. If any did such a thing, every major Christian group would denounce them that day.

Not sacrificing your children to Molech is a Jewish thing too!!The National Council of Jewish Women think it is OK to sacrifice other people's children too. From the NCJW web site:
On March 20, the House Judiciary Committee passed the H.R.476, the so-called "Child Custody Protection" Act (CCPA). It is expected to be voted on by the full House as early as the week of April 8. CCPA would make it a crime for anyone except a parent to accompany a minor across state lines to obtain abortion services, if the minor has not already met her home state's parental involvement laws. This law does not make exceptions for other trusted adults, including: adult siblings, grandparents, or clergy. Besides the fact that there is no other law or proposed law which requires a person to carry their state laws with them as they travel, this bill would cruelly isolate young women in times of crisis. This might lead young women to pursue dangerous alternatives such as self-induced abortions or seeking a backalley abortion.

In the dissent, Circuit Judge W. Eugene Davis said: "I see no principled reason why plaintiffs raising free speech claims in this case do not have standing to attack the 'Choose Life' statute." So, Judge Davis is saying that "free speech claims" constitute standing for a court to hear a case where the plantiffs wish the court to disallow free speech?
OOOOOooooKKKKKKKKKkkkkkkk!!!

Some pro-choice groups backed a failed effort to have the Legislature also offer "Choose Choice" plates. "Choose Choice"!? You know these people are too far gone when they think the opposite of "choosing life" is "chosing choice". It 'fing makes no since. None at all. The opposite of life is not choice, you dipsh!ts, its death!
I never thought I would see the day come when people consider the notion of choosing adoption over abortion as some type of egregious offense.

Despicable and another case of Christian high moral values used against them. This won't change Christian's firm support of Israel one iota and the National Council of Jewish Women knows it. If the NCJW had a shred of decency, however, they would back off on their attacks on Christians. NCJW is a liberal interst group that puts "social justice" (socialism + abortion) above all else. They are also a rabidly pro-Oslo/suicide group. There are christian groups like this, the National Council of Churches for instance.
Imagine if a Christian group sued in court because of something so trivial as a vague saying on a license plate. Imagine a Christian group claiming it "advances" a form of Judaism. If any did such a thing, every major Christian group would denounce them that day.
The Joke is that the command "Choose life" is found in Deuteronomy and Leviticus. AS I noted above, NCWJ is a leftist group parading as a Jewish one. They actively hurt Jewish interensts in Israel (they are trying to secularise Israel and force it to appease terrorists) and in the use (opposition to vouchers).

Similar proposals are on the table in California,
I'm not holding my breath. In his quest to establish himself as the most rabidly pro-abortion politician ever, Gray Davis would surely veto such a plate in the unlikely event that it made it through the legislature.

Thanks. Hard to tell how large these groups are by their web sites. The less power they have, the better. For both Christians and Jews.

Abortion is the greatest stain upon America.
To: luvzhottea
I can understand how someone might be neutral on it. I once had a libertarian view of it. Until I saw how frantic the left is to push abortion. Opposing these plates for instance is simply crazy. How can anyone not want to help a woman who is in a financial bind so bad she is considering killing her baby?

The decision ends separate lawsuits by groups that accused Louisiana of unconstitutionally sanctioning religion and infringing on their free-speech rights. Complainants included a group of taxpayers, Planned Parenthood and the National Council of Jewish Women, which charged the law advances "Christian fundamentalism."
Uh, "choose life" is in the Torah, you miserable, bigoted harridans.
Circuit Judge Edith H. Jones voted with Judge Barbour on every point but wrote separately to attack Judge Davis's dissent, which, she said, "would transform the First Amendment into a device for censorship rather than the enhancement of free speech."
Every once in a while a Judge uses his/her noodle, and I have hope.
Some pro-choice groups backed a failed effort to have the Legislature also offer "Choose Choice" plates.
It hurts. The idiocy, that is. "Choose choice"? Uh, isn't life one of them? Yeesh. Total maroons.
Alabama and South Carolina also passed laws permitting "Choose Life" tags. Similar proposals are on the table in California, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
I won't hold my breath, but I'll hold on to an extra $50, just in case.
