We could with ease defeat the dems if one, state GOP would stop playing favorites prior to primary (big no no) and Bush Whitehouse would stay out of the senate race prior to primary (another big no no) and third if grassroot republicans would get off their duffs and cry foul!

But with the bad taste of taxquist in all mouths and Van with not much money and Henry thrown in, expect a dem gov! If Alexander wins the primary expect folks like me to leave that one blank in the voting booth in November and we will have a dem in the senate!

Oh and I forgot to add Ted Welch playing behind the scenes for Alexander asking people not to contribute to other canidates, but throw all their cash behind plaid shirt Alexander!

The TN "democracy" was begun by Andrew Jackson in 1824, but the Jacksonians could not always count on TN. The Whigs won it in 1836, when Jackson put forth his groomed successor, Martin Van Buren. I still fear that there are hundreds of thousands of TN voters wanting expanded government who will come out and "make the liberal difference" in November 2002. And Hilleary and Bryant would be a good ticket. Some liberals might even think "Hilleary" is the fictitious "Mrs. Clinton" and vote for "her."

So if Alexander wins the primary, you are telling us that you will support Tom Daschle, Ted Kennedy, Dick Gephardt, Barbara Boxer, and the Liberal agenda? If that scenario becomes reality, that is exactly what you would be doing.
