Lies, damn lies and Palestinian spokesmen

Since the signing of the Oslo Accords in September 1993, and most especially since the outbreak of violence in September 2000, Palestinian spokespersons and the Palestinian media have launched a barrage of lies against Israel and the Israeli Army.

On March 31, 2002, I was watching one of CNN's most capable anchors, Arnand Naidoo, interview chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat in Jericho, and Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emanuel Nachson in the Jerusalem studio.

Like a hysterical schoolchild, Saeb Erekat described the shooting and shelling of an Israeli raid being carried out on Yasser Arafat's Ramallah headquarters. Mr. Erekat repeatedly stated that he feared for Chairman Arafat's life. He further charged that a Palestinian policeman had been wounded in the gunfight and was bleeding to death as a result of the Israeli Army not allowing an ambulance to retrieve him.

Arnand Naidoo naturally questioned Mr. Nachson over why Israel was attacking the compound after giving the U.S. assurances that Chairman Arafat would not be harmed.

Mr. Nachson replied that to his knowledge, the Israeli Army was not attacking, and would not attack, the Ramallah compound in order to harm Chairman Arafat; the operation that Mr. Erekat was describing was not happening, and was probably part of the Palestinian disinformation campaign.

Mr. Erekat became even more hysterical and vehement in his accusations (if this was possible). He again demanded that the attack be called off, that an ambulance be allowed to retrieve the wounded policeman, and in the face of Mr. Nachson's rebuttal, challenged CNN to send a camera crew to "see for themselves" the cause of the policeman's wounds.

Just when it appeared that the warm air from Saeb Erekat's mouth had provided this lie with enough lift to become airborne and join the myriad other Palestinian lies in general circulation, Arnand Naidoo made a courageous decision.

He crossed live to another capable CNN reporter, Michael Holmes, who was 200 meters from the Ramallah compound.

There were no gun-battles. No Israeli soldiers blasting their way in. No tank shells; certainly none directed at the compound.

Holmes described some Israeli soldiers calmly walking into the area of the compound already breached, and then calmly walking out again a few moments later. He could hear no gunfire, and was at pains to describe the fact that if there had been gunfire, he was certainly close enough to have heard it! He also said that although a tank shell could be heard occasionally, these tanks were in other areas of the city, and the rounds were "certainly not directed at the compound".

He mentioned that some minutes earlier what he presumed to be a stun grenade had been detonated in the courtyard, but that it was not accompanied by any other activity.

I watched CNN news for the next 2 hours to see what would unfold, and in both subsequent news bulletins, Michael Holmes described the complete inactivity at Arafat's compound. Mr. Erekat's lies were not repeated, but the ubiquitous news ticker told of "conflicting accounts" from Israeli and Palestinian sources about a raid on Yasser Arafat's compound.

To those of us attuned to Middle East politics, this is just another example of professional Palestinian liars such as Nabil Shaath, Saeb Erekat, Hanan Ashrawi, Ahmad Qurei (Abu Ala) and "General Yasser Arafat" himself spewing forth their baseless accusations in order to malign and discredit Israel.

It is a pattern that the Western media - with the notable exception of Fox News - has been very slow to pick up on, and is even more reticent to expose.

In light of the mountain of lies told by the Palestinians, it would seem reasonable to expect that Western outlets would be more thorough in their investigation of Palestinian claims.

But this does not occur. I believe this is partly due to naivety, and partly due to the fact that a large proportion of the news media - especially the most esteemed BBC - are ready to believe and report the absolute worst about 'the Israelis' and similarly refuse to believe the disturbing truth about 'the oppressed Palestinians.'

Is that all? You call that a lie? Compared to some of their other BS, this doesn't even rank.

How about an "American" like James Zogby, who stated on FOX last week that Arab armies did not attack Israel in 1948?

But for me, it's not their lies. Their lies are there and obvious to anyone with a functioning brain.

What gets to me is how all their arguments are totally lacking in any logic.

Take James Zogby again. Today on FOX he told this little story about "their loss of hope". Seems a "Palestinian" he knew was all excited by OSLO in 1992, but was depressed and dejected by 1994. What happened by 1994? His life didn't improve and unemployment had risen because of Israeli closures

Let me ask James what Tony Snow failed to ask.

Whose F**ken fault is that?

Arafat took control and the quality of life went down. There was terrorism in Israel, so Israel was not so anxious to employ potential murderers. If they are in control of their territory, why does Israel owe them jobs?. Why don't they ask Arafat to create jobs instead of suicide bombers?

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's my logic that faulty.

War is the only way!

This constant Goebellsian islamanazi harping at "The Jews!" -- "The Jews" -- "The Jews" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Jews!" -- "The Jews" -- "The Jews" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Jews!" -- "The Jews" -- "The Jews" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- is telling in more than one way, however.

First it reminds us [We need reminding, already??!!] that the death-and-destruction-worshipping, false-fuerher-following islamanazis are simply continuing to carry the thirteen hundred years old flag that was for a time carried for them by the pagan-heathen, death-and-destruction-worshipping, false-fuerher-following Euronazis of the Holocaust.

Except that they have learned from Goebells, their activities are not patterned on those of "the prophet-Hitler" and his gang, the reverse was true.

Hitler spoke Marx's language but followed the actions and employed the tactics of his real hero and inspiration, Mohammed!

It also tells us about "the media" and that evil showers' relationship with the doers and promulgators of evil in all its manifestations and in all of its forms -- all over the world.

The companies that provide us with our "news" are not in the "news" business.

They are in the bottom line business and their bottom lines are enhanced not by truth and not by boring old reality -- but by the maximum audience share.

And that is obtained by sensationalizing and by creating the most controversy about whatever it is they are, hat day, presenting as "news" -- and by thus generating the maximum exposure for their clients -- not all of whom are "advertisers."

At least not in the normally accepted sense.

Some of their client "advertisers" are "client states."

And some are Osama and Daschle Ararfat and their fellow islamanazis.

CNN knows that representatives of neither the "client states" nor the islamanazis will ever give them a second of "interview time" -- ever again -- if the "client state" or the islamanazi propagandist is exposed as a gang of crooks or as a liar -- or is made to deal with the reality of who and what he and it are.

Expose Lee Kuan Yew as the pompous, self-promoting, self-aggrandizing, self-enriching, strutting clown that he is? Forget the nice facilities -- or any -- in Singapore. And the audience share the descends from that part of the world.

Call Mahatir a racist pig and a looter-beyond-compare and no more $3,000.00 per day junkets courtesy of "the government of Malaysia."

Say Mugabe is a murdering racist pig. Goodbye Rhodesia/zimbabwe. And, Christianne Cresent-News-Network Ammanpour, try and ask president field-marshal chairman general vee-cee-and-bar Daschle Ararfat why he is a lying, thieving, inciting, mass-murdering terrorist scumbag bastard? And you're oudder there, Mumma!

And then there is the ideological bent [In a word: Evil!] of the advocate-product of the modern school of "journalism" [Motto: Joe Goebells was a piker!] -- and that, in this instance, for example, the media moguls have it figgered they can hold the maximum audience attention by constantly repeating that the problem is "The Jews!" -- "The Jews" -- "The Jews" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Jews!" -- "The Jews" -- "The Jews" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Israelis" -- "The Jews!" -- "The Jews" -- "The Jews" -- "The Israelis" -- and "The Israelis,"

Even though they know it is not true it keeps us all on our toes, at one anothers throats -- and glued to "the news" broadcasts.

And all of that despite that they know that what they do is Evil.

And that; if we who comprise Our Judeo-Christian [IE: "Western "] Civilization do not all stand together against our common Hesporophobic enemy; Our Civilization shall surely fall apart!
