I'm watching CBS Sunday Morning and they just interviewed a female would-be suicide bomber. This ought to give America a face-full of the unreasoning hatred motivating the Palestinian intifada.

I want to see us get tough with these terrorists, and be consistent, no matter where they are.

Dave, read these 2 articles from the Brit papers, and let me know if they make you feel any better?

Andrew Sullivan: Victory for Bush in Iraq will bring peace in Israel

Mark Steyn: This war tells us more about Europe than the Middle East

I'm sorry. That was meant to be sarcasm. In no way did I mean to imply that you were a Hillary worshipper. I was just trying to make the point that someone so enlightened and visionary as St Hillary needeth not speak unto mere mortals who would dare question her on any subject.

My sarcasm was to imply that she expects such worship; not that you are anyone else actually gives it. I guess I didn't make that clear in my post. My bad.

I predict no one will dare express an opinion about the return of Maoist Chavez to power in Venezuela.

"This ought to give America a face-full of the unreasoning hatred motivating the Palestinian intifada."

No, no...according to Bill Clinton their hatred is reasonable...it's simply because we haven't shared enough of our wealth.

In fact, I'm going to write a check to the Palestinians---right now--- to help make them feel financially secure enough to end their homicide bombings.

Brit starts off the roundtable by saying he's not sure whether he wants to see the current Powell mission succeed or not! He means that one part of him would like to see the Israeli's continue to rout out the terrorist to the end, rather than stop with a "cease fire". Cici (of the Compost) starts talking about Jenin camp and the "Israeli" atrocities. Barnes shuts her down. Juan goes off the reservation, talking about how Israel is being put down by the rest of the world for its actions. Brit says what's new? The rest of the world (except for the US) has never really supported it.

Brit hits it on the nail, by saying that this has hurt Bush badly, not by Israel's actions, but by his own reversal of his September anti-terrorist policy. Go Brit!!

.....as a point of further explanation, the joke was that, as Americans, we are all expected to genuflect and give homage before a portrait of Hillary. I suggested that maybe you had not done so yet, thus making you less obedient to her whims than any good American should be.

It was a little joke - of course a joke isn't very good if you have to explain it! :0)

I understand your angst, I feel the same way. We support President Bush but he better have a good reason for for this pickets in the ass, ineffectual policy change.

The only thing I can figure is that they see Iraq as the key to any kind of ME stability. If they don't oust Saddam Insane, then I'm off the Bush bandwagon.

Oh yeah, that's right, I forgot, POVERTY causes terrorism. That's why we have all those terrorists in the mountains of West Virginia, and down in Fisk, Missouri, in the trailor parks of Alabama, in the projects of the inner cities... silly me.

Most all the panel (except Juan) dumping on Al Gore in his return-to-prominence speech last night in Florida. Cici says that his speech (where he talked about environmental polluters) would have been great in October 2000, but is irrelevant right now. Tony talks about how uncomfortable Gore is (hot arena, sweating) and then shows a clip of Gore working the rope line with the song "You Ain't seen nothing Yet". LOL

FWIW, I think Dr. Rice hit a home run this morning. Her continued emphasis on stating the obvious, that both sides should stop pointing fingers at the other side, step up to the plate and act like leaders was compelling. She also recognizes Israel's right to defend itself but also acknowledges the Palestinians' profound humanitarian crisis. As she says, this is a decades-long struggle, and it's not going to end overnight without some pain (?letting go of ego) on both sides.

Timmy looked embarrassed citing Republican criticism of Bush.

I am so happy I live in a republic and that how I feel at the moment is not important. I have been on an emotional roller coaster the past week and see first hand how a pure democracy could lead to chaos.

Why don't the Isrealis and the Palestinians take a page from the WWF and have a "Loser Leaves Town" Match?

Andrew Card will not answer a simple question from Tony Snow

Boy...is this guy BAD!!
He's a programmed robot that makes certain statements on a programmed basis whether it has any relevance to anything else (like a question) or not. That monotone voice is enough to make you explode. Reminds me of the martians running around in Mars Attacks on the loudspeakers chanting "we are your friends" as they're blowing the place up.

Where do they get these characters from??

I agree, but Card's specialty is not foreign affairs. Poor spokeman for this subject, and may have been scheduled before Powell's meeting. Condi's hitting homeruns with her answers on MTP. Using new name "homicide bombers".

Is anyone else watching the McLaughlin group this morning? I just cannot stomach Pat Buchanan any longer. The rate at which he purports to agree with Eleanor Clift is abominable.
