I believe that we are headed for a war with Islam, there is ample evidence to support that view.

The key leaders in Islam are not fools, however. They certainly cannot see winning a conventional war with the US. The Islamists are too fractured, too disorganized, too backward and too fanatical to pursue such a course. I read Jeff Head’s novel, and the idea that Islam could coalesce that fast and become that effective militarily is just beyond me.

There will be a war, but not a conventional one for sure. The idea of the 4th way, the non-linear war, is more likely. And it will take years to accomplish their objectives. As they are dictatorships, control the media and education; they can persevere longer than us. They also have enough “plants” in the US now so they can demonstrate and lie and argue on CNN and make us feel guilty for “defending” ourselves.

My belief is they are gambling on the Vietnam scenario, keep kicking us in the shin until we just give up and say forget it, leave us alone.

Sharon is too militant to stay in power. The Israelis need to bring him down and let Perez lead. If not for any reason than to assure that the weapons of mass destruction in the Israeli arsenal are in the hands of a steady man.

I'd say that the choice of who leads Israel is up to Israeli voters, not you. Sharon was elected by the voters of his nation. He now enjoys popularity on the order of 75%, while Peres and his "peace at any price" camp are viewed as a dangerous and naive anachronism. You sound too much like the Gore bassholes who constantly complain that "the wrong man is in the White House." Go back to DU, disruptor.

Sa Perez, the one who spent all his life working for the state of Israel is an Arabist and he will give the Arabs the nuclear bombs to destroy Israel?

First you have to understand what Peres is. Peres is a Socialist, of the kind with a capital S. So is Arafat, and so is, for that matter, the whole of the "palestinian" entity.

Socialists of that kind don't have a nationality. They have Socialism. Peres has much closer kinship to Arafat than he has to Sharon, most Israelis, or the Jewish state. It is my very firm belief that if a civil war broke out in Israel, between the right and the left (and the possibility has reared its ugly head a few times), Peres would call for his Arab friends to intervene on behalf of his side. So, yes - I believe he might actually supply a few of his friends with nukes, if he could get his dirty mitts on the controls.

Giving the Nobel peace prize to Peres and Arafat is EXACTLY the same as giving it to Quisling and Hitler would have been. And your support of a character like Peres puts you in a rather sharp relief.

Hi Quix, all great questions, but I don't have FOXNEWS. ALthough I did hear ( & read on Debka ) that the day Sec Powell was going to meet with Arafat, there was an attempt on Powell's life. Seems very iffy - I haven't heard any other media group report it. But the situation is definitely hot.

Yeah, I read about the attack on Powell, too.

The next 2-4 weeks sure seem set to be rather crucial, key in terms of a wider war.

Prayers certainly in order.

Makes as much sense as posting the anti-Israel mind-wanderings of a character like Desmond in a Tutu at a Conservative website.

Sayonara and good riddance to y'all....

Going someplace?

The next time enemies overtake Europe I'm for letting whatever the enemies are have the place. Too much American blood in that soil. Much more American blood in France than French blood in the last two wars over there. They simply are not worth it.

I agree with everything except the part about how much French blood is in their soil. They lost on the order of 1 million dead in WW1. It seems that the Great War cost the French the best of their nation, because all that was left is a pathetic, whiney, arrogant (why I don't know), whorish and smelly lot. They turned the act of surrendering into an art in WW2, though a bunch of brave French soldiers did fight (and die). The rest were surrender monkeys to the core, and those who've come after are far worse.

The French of WW1 were gallant and brave, and died in large numbers to defend their nation. Their grandchildren and great grandchildren are no reflection on those heroes, and don't deserve to be saved from anything.

Regardless of how many nukes Israel has, in a nuclear exchange, Israel loses. All it takes is one dirty groundburst in Jerusalem, and the fallout will make the most populated section of Israel too radioactive to continue to live on

At which point, the Israelis move to the West Bank and the pallies get moved to the radioactive area - fenced in as a prison camp until they're all dead. Good plan.

It is rather comical. All of these earthshaking developments taking place while Powell is shuttling back and forth, to and fro talking about perhaps having a peace conference. Well, it gives him something to do.

Do you know what the difference is between an Israeli and a Jew? Just because someone is a Jew, doesn't mean they are an Israeli citizen, and vice-versa. If everyone could make that distinction there would be more people demonstrating at Israeli consulates and fewer people vandalizing synagogues.

True enough but the Right of Return complicates it. More than a few people who were not Israelis fled to Israel when wanted for crimes. Israel's refusal to extradict criminals and even murderers who did that has created a lot of ill will. Considering the problems their policies have caused, they should dump it. If America tried it, just imagine the howls of outrage.

You are correct, Peres, and Arafat (I like to call him the raghead) are both socialists. However, that is the same thing with most of the Jews. Other wise, how do you explain their 90% vote for the Democratic Party?

Try your Arabist shilling elsewhere. You're getting monotonous, slimeball.

Btw, there has been several "palestinians" wanted by the Israeli police fleeing to the US, with subsequent extradition problems, I think. Perhaps that was what you were thinking of? Taking plots from the Arab playbook and then accusing everyone else (particularly the Jews) of them has long been a favourite of Arab propagandists, you know ;).

Lol. Kinda into the "readers digest" version of the world, are you? Not as simple as that. Try research. It might help.

both... not either. new moon, coming soon. They both know it. All the arabs know it. They would have never begun their move on 9-11, if they did not think they could take us on and WIN.

They thought wrong. The USA has a few surprises up it's sleeves...

Actually Arafat is a Marxist. KGB trained.

However, that is the same thing with most of the Jews. Other wise, how do you explain their 90% vote for the Democratic Party?

Are you saying that every Christian in the Democratic Party is a Socialist? And 90% is a tad high. And a changing statistic as well. And Karl Rove knows it, which is why he is courting the Jewish vote.
