Received two cell calls from Dave. The stage is set. The flags are waving. The weather is great. They're ready to Roll! Around 0945 the crowd was 50+ including Kristinn, sauropod, Leadpenny, Angelwood, Exit 148, GoreWarVet, Dutchy, Congressman Billy Bob, Black Agnes, TaxMan, TGSL DeComa, WhoKnowsWhatEvil, FireBrand, Country Dummy, Stan Waite, Pro2aMom, 0351Dog. (please pardon any mispelled "names" or omissions. The cell connections were poor).

Around 1015 the crowd was continuing to grow, with some spill over from the Peacenik/anarchist nitwits. Dave reports that it was the port-o-potties that attracted them. But our fearless Freepers labelled the doors "Patriots" and Patriot Women". It seems to be turning them away.

Hard to believe that this is a picture of something happening right here. I believe in everyone's right to express their opinions, no matter how idiotic. It's just heartbreaking to see them burn our flag, especially when I know it's not happening in a foreign country but in the middle of our Nation's Capital. Doubt this image will make the news; "peacefully" burning our flag vs "violently" doing so? Guess that's why the leftie reporters are calling it a peaceful demonstration. Can you imagine if someone at the Patriot's Rally burned one of their flags?

Watching Palestinians dancing in the streets in celebration of the tragedy of 9-11 ended my ambivalence. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I saw one Israeli whooping it up. (Geez, they should have been the ones celebrating since they planned it with GWB!!! Right?)

I'm sure many on the scene are the "anti-golbalization" freaks who have joined forces the older anti-American groups. These are the inheritors of the VietNam War anti-American/pro VC/NVA protestors.These worthless tramps spend all of their time traversing the country for just such demonstrations. That's all they do. That's why they can get so many to an event no matter where it is. Ordinary patriotic and working Americans can't drop everything for a rally across the country.
