This morning, Jim Quinn, host of "The War Room" (WRRK 96.9 FM Pittsburgh & warroom.com) played an audio tape made at Cleveland Center (flight control) on the morning of 9-11. To protect his source, Quinn would not say who gave it to him, but it apparently is genuine.
The tape starts with Cleveland Center attempting to reach the crew of Flight 93, as they were in Cleveland's zone at the time. Heard is Cleveland speaking to other pilots who state they had overheard "yelling" and "screaming" over the airwaves. Other pilots visually help verify Flight 93's position because the hijackers have not responded to Cleveland.
Then, a hijacker, speaking very rapidly, tells Cleveland that there is a bomb on board. Pilots in the air confirm that they heard the statement about the bomb, and that Flight 93 had turned and headed back east. The hijacker comes back on the air and again repeats that there is a bomb on the plane.
Also worth a listen: Immediately following the Flight 93 audio is the song "She Kissed a Hero". It's about Todd Beamer's wife kissing her husband goodbye on the morning of 9-11, not knowing at the time that she was kissing a hero goodbye. It will tear you up.
Islam is the Religion of Peace pissed-off bump
Hearing ground control and other pilot's reactions to what was happening reminded me of the firemen setting up operations inside the WTC in 9-11 documentary made by the French brothers. You hear the tension in their voices, they know something BAD is happening, yet everyone is staying professional and doing their jobs.
Quinn's next warroom show comes on again at 530 am Eastern (Free Live Streaming). I actually heard about FR for the first time on his show. : )
The mp3 download is pretty quick; I just download the whole show then I can fast forward or rewind as I wish, playing it clearly with no skips on WinAmp. I usually listen to the archived show while I'm FReeping here. I rarely have any problem on his site; keep trying and good luck with it.

My feeling on this is that we must never ever forget; we must never ever forgive until arabic is spoken only in hell--and not even then. I certainly hope that I'm not confronted in person by some whining raghead today complaining about how he/she/it is being mistreated because of 9/11.
Some of the jargon they were talking about:
"Level three five zero" just means United 93 was cruising at 35,000 feet.
When you hear Cleveland Center say, "If you read me - Ident." He is asking for them to hit a button on the Transponder, or IFF (Identification Friend or Foe). The Ident button makes you light up like a Christmas tree on radar. The IFF code you are assigned is your "squawk."
I hope they allow pilots to be armed. Airline pilots are the most heavily screened profession in history. Medically, mentally, and for aptitude. One half of all airline pilots are former military officers.
The fact that some in the Dept of Transportation oppose arming pilots is madness.
Do a search of Israeli Airlines "El Al" (who arm their pilots) and see how many hijackings they have had.
Everyone you can listen to this broadcast later on tape delay....Quinn has archives...
Then, a hijacker, speaking very rapidly, tells Cleveland that there is a bomb on board. That's probably how the rumor started that a plane that landed here on the 11th might have had a bomb on it.
I just got a copy of the MP3 of the 9/11 Howard Stern show. In retrospect, its amazing how much false information was making the rounds that day.

That sad excuse for a civilized culture is destined for a deserved and permanent oblivion.
Squawk parrot 2 at the ADIZ SkyPilot.
Bump
And no, I did NOT listen.
I am so pissed off at those bastards right now I can't even concentrate.
Model for air travel security may be El Al

By contrast, El Al planes are heavily guarded 24 hours a day, seven days a week, even during cleaning and maintenance. All El Al pilots are veterans of the Israeli air force and are trained in handling weapons and in hand-to-hand combat.
They do not, however, carry guns in the cockpit.
The cockpit has bulletproof doors activated by a keypad from inside the cockpit.

I've read several pieces that say El Al pilots are armed, and I've read just as many saying they're not. Maybe they like to keep folks guessing?
Yes I am a man and I did tear up listening to that song because I hope the day never comes that I have to kiss my wife goodbye and never see her again. Sure we will all die someday but not like that and not so sudden.
God bless everyone involved in helping keep the skies safe!
AWESOME SONG AT END BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!
