WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush and top members of his administration mingled and shared laughs Saturday with Washington reporters, insiders and some outsiders -- including famed British rocker Ozzy Osbourne -- at this year's White House Correspondents dinner.

Comedian Drew Carey was on hand to provide the entertainment during the more than three-hour event, doing stand-up comedy for the president and more than 1,800 guests, from top White House adviser Karl Rove to hard rocker turned reality show star Ozzy Osbourne.

Don't bother. Rams just likes to bash Bush.

I think Ozzy is a hoot! Bush and Cheney can take a joke. The only one who looked like a fool was snake-head Carville. He wouldn't crack a smile and made obscene remarks. Even Colin Powell was laughing it up. He's a little too liberal for me, but at least he has a sense of humor.

All right, I know they had to invite Helen Thomas, but why in the world did they let her sit at the President's table? Sheesh.

They had to, because she's the oldest serving White House "correspondent." Tradition.

Of course it's good to laugh at ourselves. Bush does have a great sense of humor but the comment he made about Dick Cheney while showing the WH video was completely embarrassing and humiliating to Cheney. I really couldn't believe Bush was that crude. I'm no prude but we're talking about the leaders of the free world here and their public standing. I thought we'd come to expect more from the presidency than what Clinton did to it.

Thanks for posting this. I'm sorry I missed it. I like alot of different music including some of Ozzys. The thought of him standing on the table blowing kisses to the President makes me laugh.

Kudos to Bush and Osbourne! Ozzy for being there and Bush for being wise enough to acknowledge it.

BTW Rams are No2

I'm sure Pat would have handled it differently, right? Or would he have just stayed home?

You all need to ligthen up. I'm constantly amazed at the things you all complain about Bush doing. It's like you HAVE to find something every single day.

You remind me of James Watt trying to ban the Beach Boys from a DC park concert, saying they draw the bad element, wanting instead Wayne Newton.Reagen said "the hell with that, the Beach Boys are great and the Beach Boys it will be".

Ozzie Ork continues in and celebrates his character flaws. Mary M, Moses and the thief did not. You're not thinking very clearly today.

From what I've seen of Ozzy, he seems to be a better family man than many of those in attendance at the dinner. As for his on stage persona, it's an act.
