WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush and top members of his administration mingled and shared laughs Saturday with Washington reporters, insiders and some outsiders -- including famed British rocker Ozzy Osbourne -- at this year's White House Correspondents dinner.
Comedian Drew Carey was on hand to provide the entertainment during the more than three-hour event, doing stand-up comedy for the president and more than 1,800 guests, from top White House adviser Karl Rove to hard rocker turned reality show star Ozzy Osbourne.

This is getting very boring, you'd think people would get the point by now. Yes, Elvis was a total jerk and his act was evil. His vulgarity ahs no socially redeeming value.

Honestly? The loud guitars and loud drums. And his singing style. Most particularly I liked the songs from his "Diary of a Madman" album--"Over the Mountain", "Flying High Again" and "You Can't Kill Rock 'n' Roll".
As for his live shows, you can tell when a performer, any performer, "connects" with the audience or just gets up there and performs the same as if the audience isn't there. Ozzy "connects" with the audience.
I just don't understand pandering to the left with someone like Ozzy Osborne.
Why not single out some of our heroes fighting the war on terror instead of someone like Ozzy. I guess I'm just not part of the in-crowd that enjoys the latest Hollywood craze.

His brain is cooked.
He's a pretty accurate depiction of modern American fatherhood and handles the teenagers pretty well for a 50 year old living in an 80 year old body and brain.
GWB's glomming onto the Ozzy phenom is pretty savvy. He needs to work the youth vote.
Elvis's drug use killed him off at a younger age than Ozzy is now.
Didn't he already meet his predecessor at the inauguration?
I don't know what songs you are listening to but it definitely isn't Ozzy Osbourne. Please explain how "Wizard" or "Iron Man" or "Revelations" or "Mr. Crowley" or any other number of his songs are anything you describe.
I first saw Ozzy in Concert in 1981. I was very young at the time. I remember seeing him and Randy Rhoads for the first time on stage and I look back now on how they changed my life. At the time, my parents were getting divorced and I had little focus with my life. I watched Randy playing the guitar and I found something to focus on even to today. I put much of my energy into playing guitar and it saved me a lot of the pain from my parents divorce.
For all of you who want to demonize Ozzy, I say this: Don't act like liberals and hate the book by it's cover. I've met and talked with Ozzy. I have a great deal of respect for him. No, he isn't perfect, but who of you are? He has made mistakes in his life and he has tried to correct them. He is a gun owner and a shooter. He supports the conservative ideal. No matter what any of you think, he has a great deal of influence over a huge group of people. Many of which are of voting age. Only a fool would turn his back on a voting block like that.
I applaud President Bush for breaking down the barriers and welcoming Ozzy to the White House. For those of you who insist on slamming both the President and Ozzy, I hope you are treated the exact same way as you are treating them.
Be thankful that we have a President who has the guts to cross the divide and welcome in allies that can help us crush the freedom hating liberals.
