WHY RUSH IS DISGRUNTLED (Bush is advancing the Democrats most liberal agenda )

WHY RUSH IS DISGRUNTLED

On Monday's show, the Doctor of Democracy made a sad diagnosis: "If the Reagan Revolution is not dead, then it's dying." If there was a model that the Bush administration used in establishing itself, it was the Reagan presidency. But now Bush is advancing the Democrats' most liberal agenda items - something particularly frustrating at a time when Bush's popularity would make it easy for him to recruit new conservatives.

Many of you have been critical of Rush's reactions to Bush's actions on spending over the recent months, and we took more calls of this sort on Monday - people who'd convinced themselves that the farm bill made sense or that Bush had some grand strategery at play. Now, Rush could throw his beliefs out the window for a day or two and say things that you might want to hear - like when he endorsed Clinton back in 1992 - but that's not what he does.

Rush can only give you his honest reaction, even when he doesn't like those reactions. That's honesty, folks, and it goes to disprove a key criticism many of the nation's liberals have made of Rush over the years. They've said that Rush is a party hack, and that he'd support the Republican Party no matter what they did. They charged that the EIB Network was simply a tool, that we were in daily contact with the powers that be to get marching orders. Well, that has pretty much been dispelled here: Rush is disgruntled.

You are correct ; just a few decades short. The lefty garbage has been incrimentally pushed into law, since Woodrow Wilson. FDR and his COMMUNIST cabal, sped things up , LBJ, Carter, & Clinton added on and that's a heap of stuff to try to undo.

Rush has become the new voice of anger radio. Nothing is done right and absolutely no one,but Rush, knows what they are doing-not George Bush, not Dick Cheney, not Condi Rice, not Colin Powell, not the FBI, not Karl Rove, not the CIA,not the Republicans in either chamber( he might have a point there!) and on and on and on. Has Rush made one uplifting or positive comment in months?? Does anyone laugh out loud at something he said or some funny bit? His show is doom and gloom and harping and whining and negativity. I swear, if George Bush said that sunshine was a good thing, Rush would bellow for weeks about how only a liberal and in the case of Colin Powell, a coward, would say such a thing, the conservative base hates sunshine,it's clintonesque to say you like sunshine,it's part of the liberal agenda to like sunshine, the Bush Doctrine is anti sunshine, etc. His hatred of Bush has become pathological.

Regarding your list of Bush's conservative accomplishments, it is important to notice that they are mainly in the area that he did not need the consent of Congress. With the exception of prosecuting the war and dealing with Domestic Terrorism, the 107th has been un co-operative.

The Republicans have not held the Congress and the Presidency since 1953-55. They held the Senate and the Presidency in 1981-87. The House and Senate in 1995-01. Bush, of course, will have had the in House 2001-03. Pundits are saying this will not change at mid-term.

A reality that is lost on the Right.

Then what is the point?

It makes no nevermind about who is President?

I will stay home before I vote for the lesser of two evils.

Bush Administration Wants to Extend Immigration "Amnesty"

"My concern about the role of the federal government is that an intrusive government, a government that says, ‘Don’t worry, we will solve your problems’ is a government that tends to crowd compassion out of the marketplace, that too often in the past people said: ‘Somebody else will take care of the problem in my area. Rush and his avid followers helped to elect Clinton by not supporting Bush 41. They put principle over politics and made all of us principled runners-up (i.e., losers). Never put principles or anything else over politics. Politics trumps principles -- conservative or otherwise! You have to win elections to have political power. A left leaning Republican is far better than a real Liberal any time, any place, any how, any way.

SADLY, Rush NEVER wwent on sooooooo long about Clinton's lies and scandals...he would mention some in PASSING and then off to an SUV update. IF he had zeroed in on Clinton like he's doing to Bush, Clinton might have been thrown out....Hillary also....but he justs can't get enough criticism of Bush i in 3 hours!!!

TURN RUSH OFF!

I don't know if I would go so far as to say that, but I do think Rush believes he has enough clout to influence the administration's policies.

He's sadly mistaken of course.

I will grant you that at times he sounds fixated to the point of being demented.

It makes no nevermind about who is President?

It most certainly does matter who is the President. But he's the head of only one branch of the government, NOT a dictator.

I will stay home before I vote for the lesser of two evils.

Well, kick off your slippers, put your feet up, and relax. You have the right to vote or not vote.

One more thing. You've just made my statement about political reality being lost on the Right an axiom. That's not a good thing.

Rush and his avid followers helped to elect Clinton by not supporting Bush 41.

Rush opposed Bush I in the primaries but gave him strong support in the general. He took a very real risk in alienating a large part of his audience with his treatment of Perot.

I'm going to refrain from bashing Rush, Bush I and, especially, Dubya. I'll save my powder for Dashle and Rendell and Gephart and Edwards and Jesse Jackson.

Yes, Rush helped with the '94 elections. Did you see the date, from whence I said he lost me ? Three or four years ago, is well AFTER 1994. Bob Grant, the father of Conservative talk radio , especially in the N.Y. tri-state area, has been on the radio , for more than four decades. He started to lose it, after three plus decades, and only after a massive, all out, lefty attack , on many fronts ( far worse than anything ever tried on Rush ) got him fired from WABC. He came back, on WOR, but much subdued. Rush hasn't that excuse.

Rush is human, and far more falable, than some are willing to admit. Before he married Marta, he was fat hermit, who NEVER went anywhere. He spent his time actually working and doing research. He had a " fire in his belly " ! Then, slowly at first, post Marta, he became less inerested in doing all that, and went out ! Low and behold, instead of poltics, current events, and funny bits, it was " I went here". " I went there ", I had dinner with / played golf with / bought this / bought that ! " His T.V show was always far better than the radio show and then that was over . Newt ceased to whisper in his ear . Instead of three days late, the news from FR threads, that he used , would be a week, or a fortnight late, and he'd break off, to talk about himself. Now, it's Bush bashing, without let up. He's doing no one any good.

Oh, he'll be back, praising Bush to the skies, come the 2004 election cycle. This bashing is all hyperbole and mostly an act ; that's what I object to.

Well... He thinks he solely brought down the Klintoon administration, now he expects an administration to follow his ideas by the letter. However, it doesn't take a stretch of the imagination to wonder if his being Jewish has any influence on his feelings about Isreal/Palestine.

Don't you think?
