I was transcribing this. The French words that I heard from the reporter, before the translator started speaking over him, were, "Monsieur le président, voudriez vous ajouter vos sentiments...?" I guess my editor excised the French words and just left in the translation.

But I wonder why it is you think there are strong -- such strong sentiments in Europe against you and against this administration?
"¡¡¡Culero!!!" is probably what Bush was thinking. He is, however, a gentleman.

You've gotta be KIDDING me! He said THAT?!?! BWAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAA!!!! Now I gotta go to the hospital and get my jaw re-attached!Chirac realises that American respect for France is sinking to dangerous levels. If Bush decided tomorrow to pull all American troops out of the Balkans, he knows that he would be up Creek Merde. He understands that he really, really, cannot afford any more damage to this relationship, especially in the light of all this cosiness between America and Russia.

Street protests just aren't the method for conservatives to induce change, traditionally. That's because conservatives have things like jobs, family obligations and homes and gardens to maintain. Liberals always seem to have a lot of time on their hands to do things like leave their families behind to participate in mindless crap like "The Million Mom March."

Thanks for the contact information. I just sent this e-mail to David Gregory:
Dear Mr. Gregory,
I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed watching President Bush make you squirm in response to your attempt to put him in a bad light at the Bush / Chirac press conference.
Perhaps if you'd refrain from seeing yourself as the President's intellectual superior, you'd reduce your chances of being made a fool on international television. You people in the media amuse me with your grand delusions of your own perceived power.
Let's Roll,

Bush knows a second language. He was a certified jet fighter pilot. He ran his own business. He is an Ivy League grad. He is anything but a dummy.

I believe President Bush said, "Now I'm ILLITERATE in two languages", (making a self-deprecating joke at that time).
What Mr. Gregory doesn't understand is that anytime an American President
is subjected to protests in France, his popularity can only go up!

This was my e-mail to this idiot:
Dear Mr. Gregory:
I doubt if you will have the intestinal fortitude to read this e-mail in its entirety. Nor do I think you will have the honesty or ability to step back and objectively look at the obvious bias in your question to our President today.
But in case you do, I will simply state, in terms you MIGHT understand, the liberal agenda of the media is not only exposed but has been confirmed by one of your own. (Bernard Goldberg's book - BIAS) Please do yourself and the rest of us a favor and call yourself what you are - a liberal agenda media enabler.
Our president - I mean my president since you obviously haven't gotten over the Florida election-- has the full support of the country. He is trying to do his job........why don't you. Oh, by the way, in case you didn't know - that means YOU are supposed to report things OBJECTIVELY. Try it sometime - you might find it refreshing. I know I would.

Hey,Doesn't "W"call this guy by the nickname"stretch"because he's about 6'6"tall?
To: Young Werther
Don't forget that Jimma Carter was guilty of "nuc U lur" too.
To: LarryLied
LOL..thanks for the Ratboy heads up...but to tell you the truth, I think President Bush sorta likes him,(sometimes calls him "Stretch" because he's so tall.) But why wouldn't President Bush like him after this predictable puffball? What a great chance for President Bush to swat one outta the park.

Have we forgotten President Carter's "noo-Kee-ar" pronunciation..?And he was a nuclear engineer. But not one peep was heard from the media about his idiosyncratic pronunciation.
