Abortions are a freedom

In response to "Protest Uncalled For" May 26 or 25. I would like to comment about, No. 1: "We have aborted our future." I fail to see how abortions are ruining our future. In the United States of America (according to the census) on April 1, 2000 there were 281,421,906 people in the United States, and don't forget that that is only people with addresses.

So do we really need more people? with America's present population in mind, think about this: we have fished our oceans to the point that there is now only 10 percent of what there was. We have destroyed 90 percent of the original fish life in the sea.

No. 2: "We have aborted 40 million of our potential work force." Think about how many babies contraceptives have prevented, and even abstinence. For that matter, just think about how many people we could have.

I think that if you do not believe in abortion then do not have one.

If somebody wants an abortion, if they are pregnant and feel that it is not yet right for them to bear young then fine that's their choice. That is my opinion. I believe that abortions are a freedom; I believe that if abortions where illegal then they would go underground and become much more dangerous. We should be allowed that option - that freedom - in this, the land of the free, America.

May the deity of your choice (if any at all) bless you.

- Crystal S. Neuenschwander, Chico.

Ever notice how those who "feel" things should be a certain way cannot string together a coherent thought?

Close the boarders, liberal. Deport the illegals.
That way, you won't have to painfully tear the pre-born apart to get it out of your foul uteruses. Ok? Fair enough?
There, see? Babies live. Problem solved.

Of course, she means, "...the harmless, toothless, tame deity..."

It is a melancholy object to those who walk through this great town or travel in the country, when they see the streets, the roads, and cabin doors, crowded with beggars of the female sex, followed by three, four, or six children, all in rags and importuning every passenger for an alms. These mothers, instead of being able to work for their honest livelihood, are forced to employ all their time in strolling to beg sustenance for their helpless infants: who as they grow up either turn thieves for want of work, or leave their dear native country to fight for the Pretender in Spain, or sell themselves to the Barbadoes.

Gee, if they kept their legs together, they wouldn't have that problem - DUH!

Notice how the Salon Bolsheviki are more than willing to allow other people to pay the price of their convictions. Somehow I don't think this deluded letter writer will volunteer to relinquish her own life so that some fish will live. (And to think they call themselves 'humanists'!)

Or, a Mother-Earth deity.....as long as it isn't a male deity, it's considered intellectual to believe in a deity.

Of course not! Who would be left to tell the ignorant rabble how to live?

Ever notice how the ones preaching for a clean environment are nasty and smell to high-heaven?

Lynchings are a freedom

In response to "Protest Uncalled For" May 26 or 25. I would like to comment about, No. 1: "We have lynched our future." I fail to see how lynchings are ruining our future. In the United States of America (according to the census) on April 1, 2000 there were 28,142,190 colored people in the United States, and don't forget that that is only colored people with addresses.

So do we really need more colored people? with America's present colored population in mind, think about this: we have fished our oceans to the point that there is now only 10 percent of what there was. We have destroyed 90 percent of the original fish life in the sea.

I think that if you do not believe in lynchings then do not have one.

If somebody wants a lynching, if they are tired of having colored neighbors, and feel that it is not yet right for them to get used to having colored neighbors, then fine that's their choice. That is my opinion. I believe that lynchings are a freedom; I believe that if lynchings where illegal then they would go underground and become much more dangerous. It should also be pointed out that the world population only gets about 5% of its protein from the seas.
