"I think he wants to run something. I can't imagine a worse job for Guiliani than VP. Further, isn't heading a department (i.e., a cabinet level position) running something?

I really think this is all gossip. I think Rudy Guiliani is either gonna run for Senator or Governor of New York. He will help Bush get re-elected in 2004 but thats about as far as he is going to go. I don't think Cheney will leave. He seems to be doing fine as far as his health goes.

The VP nomination was a goal of Giuliani's before September 11, but I don't know if his personality would be the type that Bush would want in a VP (that is if he would even be looking for one in the first place).

Giuliani as V.P.? That would be a horrible mistake. In many respects, Rudy is a leftist and he is an establishment politician. Here on the east coast, I heard him on a radio show hosted by John Gambling where Giuliani said and I quote, "John I wish there were no political parties because I do not feel that I am tied to either; I want to do what is best for NY". Let me refresh your memories, or if you did not know; Giuliani was a democrat in his younger days and sometimes he falls back on those beliefs and practices the lunacy of the left.

He's a dreadful little man who does not play well with others and as VP (or anything else) would be several steps backward for Conservatives everywhere

LOLOL maybe a piece of the WTC hit Rudy in the head after all!
To: Pokey78
NO ABSOLUTELY NOT! I like Rudy, he is a good "moderate" Republican. I think that he is totally wrong on too many of the larger issues (guns, land rights) popular with us conservatives. If anything, let him run against Schumer in 2004.

I'd rather it be Bush-Rice.
Put a black woman on the ticket and the left will have one giant stroke trying to figure out how to attack them.

Bush-Giuliani '04
"ILLEGALS TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER!"
To: Pokey78
BUSH-GIULIANI-04Is indeed a dream ticket, Rinos will carry N.Y.,Ca.and Tex., Dems could wind up carrying only one state.
The results of their governance could be almost effective as that of a Hillary/Daschle duet.
Fast-forward to the end.

Probably the only reason the
Observer has such a hard-on for Rudy is because he'd make such an easy target.
Heck, he dropped out of his race against the Beast.

Giuliani is pro-abortion. Therefore, he is a corrupt, violent person, with no sense of justice, and no principles. Corrupt, violent, unjust individuals do not belong in public office. An electorate that puts corrupt, violent, unjust people in office are asking for tyranny.
To: Pokey78
No to Giuliani. He is a pro-abortion, pro-homosexuality, open adulterer, and a lefty in many other respects as well. Only good points: he's tough on crime and did a good job managing things in his city on September 11 and thereafter.
I have voted for the Republican ticket in every presidential election since '72 (when I first could vote). I will never vote for a ticket that has a pro-abort on it. I am not alone.

I got yer "Dream Ticket" for '04:

Very doubtful. He's a great guy, but he's firmly on record as being more pro-abort than Atilla the Hun. He'd make a great FBI director.
