Free Talk Radio!
Is it time to end Cynthia McKinney’s time in Congress? Meet her opponent.

On Saturday, June 15th, Noon to 2pm,
*Rescheduled from last week

Talk Radio 1340 will once again rock the airwaves by
turning the station over to the people of Atlanta.

It’s Free Speech Radio Day again in Atlanta…
LIVE from The Landmark Diner on Roswell Road.

Talk Radio 1340 continues Free Speech Saturday on Saturday, June 15th, 2002; live at the Landmark Diner in Buckhead on Roswell Road at Piedmont Road. Free Speech Saturday is from Noon to 2. Denise Majette was scheduled to be on last weeks Free Speech Saturday but had to cancel because of a death in her family.

Denise Majette is a Democratic candidate for Congress in Georgia’s 4th District. The 46-year-old native of Brooklyn, New York earned her bachelor’s degree in history at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut in 1976 and her juris doctor degree at the Duke University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina in 1979.

After law school, she was a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she also was a clinical adjunct professor of law at Wake Forest University. Since moving to Georgia in 1983, Denise served as a law clerk for Judge R. Keegan Federal of the Superior Court of DeKalb County; law assistant to Judge Robert Benham of the Georgia Court of Appeals; a special assistant attorney general for the state of Georgia; and was a partner in the law firm of Jenkins, Nelson & Welch in Atlanta.

On July 1, 1992, Denise was sworn in as an administrative law judge for the Atlanta office of the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation. Less than a year later, on June 8, 1993, Governor Zell Miller appointed her to the State Court of DeKalb County. In nearly 10 years on the bench, she presided over hundreds of civil and criminal jury trials, bench trials, and hearings. Her constituents twice returned her to office. In the last election, her 66 percent of the votes enabled her to defeat two opponents without a runoff. On February 1, 2002, Denise stepped down from the bench and, on February 5, 2002, announced her candidacy for Congress.

Free Speech Saturday starts with the Real Estate Today Show with Carl Kogan from 10am to Noon. He answers your questions about buying and selling your home.

Talk Radio 1340 simulcasts 24 hours per day on 1230AM (WFOM/Marietta).

I don't get it!

I looked at this woman's resume and she looks just fine to me! She's going up against Clueless Cynthia?

Sad thing is, Cynthia will probably win hands down.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Good eats too?

The Landmark Diner is a good ol' fashioned New York diner. Good breakfast food, great sandwiches & lunches, great dinners, and a dessert bar to die for!

Take 400 to Lenox Rd.; go west to Piedmont and hang a right. Peachtree is about a half-mile -- Piedmont dead-ends into it. Stay in the left lane, and jog left into the Landmark Diner's parking lot. You can't miss it, it's a silver "diner-style" building.

If I was a Georgian, I would change my registration to DemocRAT, just to vote against McKinney.

Only a small number of mostly Liberal welfare recipients and African-Americans, most of whom couldn't point to either America or Africa on a globe, live in her pro-Socialist district.

However, Kabul Cindy is farther to the left and closer to the '0' end of the IQ scale than her constituency so there is still hope for Majette.

During the last election Rep. McKinney and her father (also an elected official) went around to polling places soliciting votes. Even standing up on tables. Last week she and her father struck a deal with the Dekalb County D.A.. She and her father wouldn't admit to any wrong doing, but promised never to do it again.

Thanks for the ping.

Denise Majette sounds very sharp, bright, and balanced in her views of course, I'd love it if she were pro-life but she is still the hands-down choice over McKinney IMO.
