Hensley checked the law and said "The Eliminator" is not illegal in North Carolina.... yet!

I didn't leave the Republican Party, the Republicans left me.

It'll be illegal soon. NC jumped all over "The Urinator", so "The Eliminator" is sure to follow.

"I tried to tell folks that this law was easily skirted and that it was only being used to raise money," Hensley said. "It's just a hidden tax on the populous [sic]. It doesn't have anything to do with safety although people think it does."

As a friend of someone who was speared at an intersection by someone trying to “stretch a light”, I would have to disagree with the honorable legislator. In an accident like this, the more injured victim is usually the person who’s light has just turned green and is pulling into an intersection and takes the full brunt of impact on the driver side door.

I’ve got another safer, cheaper alternative- How about not running red lights? As an added bonus you might be able to avoid the guilt of condemning an otherwise healthy person into a premature geriatric state…

Former City Councilman Mark Scruggs spearheaded Raleigh's traffic camera ordinance. "What they need to recognize is that this is a company trying to make a profit on the backs of the public safety of our citizens, and it shouldn't be accepted. The attorney general should take a hard look at it," he said.

Is he talking about the plate-covering company or the red-light camera company?

Rep. Bob Hensley, D-Wake, tried to block red light camera legislation

Just one more example of how state level Democrats in the South don't necessarily follow the DNC's line. Sure this guy might have some liberal points, but just imagine what Giddy would say if they asked her about stoplight cameras

I was told by a nephew that a local sheriff deputy stopped him and told him to remove just a plactic covering he had over his license plate. The deputy said the 'glare' could prevent the plate from being readable at times.

See a lot of those around...

Government officials, including city councilmen under the claim of compassion has a sop of "I'm going to use the government to help the little guy." Most of the time they create a boogieman and claim to protect the safety of the little guy.

"What they need to recognize is that this is a company government trying to make a profit on the fruits of the public safety of our citizens productive citizens'  labor , and it shouldn't be accepted. The attorney general should take a hard look at it this government fraud".

And when the facial recognition cameras are up in every city across America, wearing masks out in public will be made illegal as well.
