I just read, on Newsmax, that Racicot has given McAuliffe a pass on his part in Global Crossing.

Yeah, Democrats open up with both barrels and the RNC chief waves a white flag.

Read Racicot's statement .. He said from what he had seen, McAuliffe was OK.

Considering as We The People haven't really dug into Global Crossing and all its sordid interweavings of influence peddlers and politicians ... It Ain't Over !!! IMO

I am wondering how much time Racicot took to look at McAuliffe's deal, five minutes? I also noticed, in the article, he launched into talking about taking the "high ground."

Its funny how taking the "High Ground" just makes you a better target for mudslingers, huh?

Politics is the art of the absurd being brought to life .. or something like that ;-)

That makes me wonder if our President's drive to change the tone and not play the politics of personal destruction and devastation has leveled some no-no's to the RNC chief.

Ya have to wonder..... it sure has to be hard to maintain dignity and honor when small minded men like gephardt, daschle, al gore baby, billy the thug and others swim in the gutter daily, casting out their mud and filth with vile relish.

I still think a few WH photos of the clinton's trashing of our great symbol of freedom might find their way out just before the election if the dems continue to depend on Republican high roading, as it were.

I mean---what would be happening in Palestine right now it the Israelis, finally fed up with unsuspecting civilians being the targets of Pali anger, should TURN THE TABLES and start wiping out civilians, with surprise bombs. What if suicide bombers of the Jewish persuasion suddenly started appearing in Palestinian restaurants, buses, homes and temples.

And what if Republican politicians, finally fed up with liberal lies, began to level the truth, right before the election, about liberals and their pathetic MO's.

"Yeah, Democrats open up with both barrels and the RNC chief waves a white flag.

Yep, typical Repubs bringing a knife to a gunfight situation. This is why they will loose big this fall, I believe. There's just no fight in them.

Meanwhile, the Sunday morning news has picked up the 'Rat talking points and keeps repeating that "Bush had prior knowledge of the financials at Harken...insider trading...(cleared by SEC- not always mentioned)

I am reminded of Sean Connery's speech, to Kevin Costner, in The Untouchables, in which he tells him what he is going to have to do to deal with gangsters. Well, Bush, and the Republicans, aren't dealing with an idiot like Ann Richards. They are dealing with GANGSTERS in the purest sense of the word.

The trouble is, the Republicans want so badly for Helen Thomas to write something good about them.

But the tone needs to change--enough of politicians going for the jugular and lying. The politicians need to stop personal destruction--

yet....

There is nothing about the media or the working mass changing their tone. I agree--we all need to get all this information out to everyone--onward with the fight!!!! And I think we all need to write to SEC and demand that Terry be examined. Also after watching Barbara Boxer attack Secretary White, we should inundate her office with calls or emails.

Minimal differences between politics, prostitution
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review | 7/21/02 | Dateline DC
"at least prostitutes are honest enough to admit they're screwing you out of your money...TREASON, NO LESS... Fifty percent — possibly more — of Global Crossing, a vital strategic communications link for the United States military, is now owned by Hutchison Whampoa...Hutchison Whampoa is the same Hong Kong conglomerate that controls ports at the Panama and Suez Canals "

I think they would be well advised to hide. The SEC is now charged up to look for corruption - something they should have been doing under the previous administration. (ahem...)
