That's some set of debating skills your showing us. Show us where post # 16 is incorrect, then tell the Libertarian's to go to hell please.

We need to start talking about a plan to mobilize talk-radio during November 5.
My plan is to get the major talk-radio hosts throughout the day (Limbaugh noon-3pm (EST), Hannity 3-6pm, Savage 6-8pm) to spend the day taking calls only from listener poll watchers (or voters) who report all day long on turnout. I don't care to hear who voted for whom, but I'd like to hear real-time reports on where the turnout is light, and then I'd like to hear the radio hosts urge conservatives in those areas to get out and vote.
Conservatives, by nature, are conservative. They are not "in-your-face" people the way that liberals are. Conservatives will sit back and wait for the other guy to go to the polls, expecting the others to be enough to cover the spread. Conservatives will need to get a kick in the pants on November 5, so that each and every one of them gets out and votes.
Talk radio can be used on that day to coordinate reports from around the country on where voter turnout is light. They can use the "Bush Country" map from 2000 to highlight areas that are mostly conservative but are having light turnout and target those listeners to get out and vote.

Bush has only himself to blame for his poor numbers. While he cannot be blamed for the corporate mess, he is responsible for his liberal agenda, signing the campaign reform act, etc. These are his fault. He failed to do HIS job that he swore to protect and defend the Constitution and he did not. He wanted to institute the spy on your neighbor program which hits of the Nazi's of WWII, his failure to protect the borders, arm airline pilots, and other liberal agenda. While I would never vote for a socialist, I am really up in the air as whom to vote for now as we no longer have a conservative president. He is more moderate to liberal. A lie from his election verbage. I am sorely disappointed in GWB.

Republicans assumed control of the House in January 1995. Tell me how that encompasses 10 years, please.

Absolutely right Babylon!
Another observation: All of a sudden, everyone who is on TV is a stock market expert. I caught perky Katie Throwup expounding her opinion on the current situation this morning and, I caught Imus asking Tubby Timmy "When will the American people start buying stocks again"? As though they are experts, as though their opinion matters. Just because their faces are on TV, they think they have all the answers to all the secrets. Tubby's answer to Imus - "When the market starts going up". Now there's an informed, educated answer for ya. I believe the media hype has contributed to at least some part of this meltdown and, as long as they see it hurts President Bush, they will keep the alarmist hype going for as long as possible.

>> Gephardt will have one hell of an election night
Not if lil tricky dick himself is being tarred and feathered. It's time to take the gloves off. It's time to start outing these corrupt demorats that are short selling the economy like mcaulliffe, gephardt and daschole. And trying to convince people that Bush is the enemy and not Bin Laden.
I'm pissed at Bushie too for not coming out swinging, but I'm still going to pull the straight republican lever. We have to save the dupes and fellow travelers in this country from themselves and these evil homosexual democratic liberal congresswhores.

We need to get a thread about this on Nov. 4 so Freepers can call and e-mail, bombarding talk show hosts about this.

Enron fell apart last fall, scarcely during this campaign.
And keep in mind that the Dims also have a HUGE voter turnout problem. Their party's figurehead, Albert Alphonso Gore, is MIA.

You don't understand that over 50 percent pay no or little direct national income tax. They think their Social Security "contribution" is in a special account with their name on it. Social Security will in fact mail citizens a tabulation of how much SS tax they have paid over the years. Many Americans do mind higher taxes, especially if the tax hikes are on the "rich and greedy." Many see themselves as in the "poor and needy" category and look for government to "he'p them."

You're an idiot. Get off your duff and vote or would you rather see Tommy and Dickie in charge.
To: Ragin1
Come talk to me about Libertarians being great when they get more than the total of Ralph Nader's votes MINUS Pat Buchanans votes.
To: Redbob
Their party's figurehead, Albert Alphonso Gore, is MIA.That must be part of their strategy. Remember during campaign, every time he showed up on TV his numbers dropped.

By October, there will be other issues, just as likely some in the GOP's favor. The official capture of bin Laden would turn the tide bigtime. He's probably sitting in a cell with a hood over his head now, and will be trotted out by Rove at precisely the right minute to win the elections for all GOP candidates. Our strategists should be so wily.

"To be truthful I believe the whole bunch both Democrats and Republicans are in bed together and all this screaming and hollering is a smoke screen to cover all of them. All of this leads to us choosing the lesser of the two evils or sitting at home.WHICH ONE WILL YOU CHOOSE?"Choose the democrats. They are all democrats anyway. This way, the sheeple get to see exactly who the enemy is for real. Letting the democrats continually disguise themselves as "conservatives" (republicans) has allowed them the ability to steal from us for over fifty years now. It's time we take their mask away and expose them to the light of day. One glimpse of the truth, and the American people will get rid of them for good. It's time to do what is necessary to rid ourselves of the fake conservative party and allow room for a REAL one to take hold. Only then will we ever be able to make headway against socialism.

BUT, it's mighty hard to bite the hand that feeds you. A lot of these guys are "Pioneers" and their wives hold Republican teas at the Ritz Carlton.... These boys won't bite the hand that feeds them because to a politician, the "campaign contributions" are much more important than votes. Votes can be manufactured as needed, but faking having money doesn't work out too well. When a politician finally goes home, he'd rather take some cash from his war chest than some votes.

The problem is indeed due to big media. They are anti-Bush, anti-Republican, and anti-conservative. Bias and Slander were not written in a vacuum. Beyond peradventure. IMHO "anti-conservative" is easily proven, since journalism's defining characteristics of superficality and negativity are inherently in conflict with taking a long, multigenerational view of society and government (which is after all the only perspective from which to view the likely effects of our actions on "our posterity" referenced in the preamble to the Constitution).
"Liberals" say "our children are our future", conservatives recognize that society's future will be affected by cultural side-effects of simple-minded nostrums, long after our "children" are gone.

The only problem is that even today it may be too late!

Too late? Just think about it this way. Let us suppose that Al Gore had been elected president and that the democrats had been given control of both the house and the senate. Add that to the events which have transpired since the election and the democrats would really be in lots of trouble with every voter in America. We keep letting them change heads from republican to democrat too often. It's time that we keep the same party in control long enough for it's policies to fall flat on it's face if they are wrong. We failed to do this this past election and we have in effect lost out big time on a chance to rid ourselves of the democrats. Isn't this the goal of conservatism?
To: Uncle Sham
Sometime I think the Republican goal is self destruction or we either have too many Democrats disguised as Republicans.
