"What happened to us on Sept. 11 was an act of religious and political hatred," he said. "I believe the world is in a conflict between those who are trying to put things together and those who are trying to tear things apart. We Democrats -- we have to be the ones trying to put things together." In other words, Clinton says the Republicans are responsible for causing the September 11th attacks.

Switching to corporate malfeasance, Clinton said that his administration warned in 1998 and 2000 that corrupt corporate accounting practices would lead America into trouble. Click on my profile, veer to the right and scroll down.

Forgive me for lack of recall (I was busy with 3 preschoolers during the early nineties and barely had time for a shower let alone the newspaper) but did Bush (the elder) criticize Clinton like this? I don't remember that he did.
To: HAL9000
I think Bush will let clintoon get away with this as long as it looks like the GOP are going to keep the House and take the Senate in Nov. Bush likes keeping things "nice".
But if the elections get close, Bush might very likely start investigations of Rubin, McAuliffe, Brown, and all of the other clintoon initiatives to help Enron, Global Crossing, etc.

The only perverse pleasure I can take in this (sort of the pony in the horse manure) is that the plates were "$150 to $1000". Can anyone provide data in this area? Is the bent one's price going down? Didn't he used to extort more? How many paid $150 and how many paid $1000? I'm sure the day will come when people will be able to get to hear him "speak" for $20. Sort of reminds me of the high priced call girl who starts off doing $500 tricks, and ends her career as a $5 crack whore. I feel sure that clinton will be doing the equivalent in our lifetimes.

There will be a huge budget short fall. And what caused it? The continuing crash of the stock market. There are going to be no capital gains from stocks. There are going to be huge losses on people's income tax returns. Did the stock market drop start on Bushes watch? No! The phony stock market of the Clinton years did produce alot of capitol gain taxes. That fairy tale is over and reality has taken over. I get so sick of the pervert.I haven't met anybody, liberal or republican, who real think Bush is to blame.Bush said right that it is a bad hangover.

Gag! Ick!
To: HAL9000
Wouldn't it be "prudent" for Bush Sr. along with Jr. at a similar "political dinner" to simply announce the DOJ would soon be filing "undisclosed charges" in leiu of "overwhelming evidence of misconduct" against William Jefferson Clinton.
To: HAL9000
Still counting those votes are you slick?
Never in my life did I think a former President would behave in such a disrespectful way.(that is the clean version)
To: HAL9000
How can you blame the guy? I mean heck...that scum George Sr. just never could keep his mouth shut during the Clinton years. /sarc

"We Democrats -- we have to be the ones trying to put things together"
As usual, the dems are looking out for themselves, and not the country. They don't want to work together as Americans, they want to be NOTICED as the ones who put things back together. How nice for them. How arrogant of them!!
WE NEED TO VOTE THESE ARROGANT, PATHETIC PEOPLE OUT OF OFFICE!!!

"Clinton said that his administration warned in 1998 and 2000 that corrupt corporate accounting practices would lead America into trouble..."
Wasn't Clinton's "administration" (meaning the two klintoons) the ones that had that plane with Ron Brown on it, and it was led into a mountainside - er, I mean crashed - and there were 32 heads of large American corporations that died in one fell swoop (who took their positions)? Oops, tin foil hat time for me. I should only be concerned that a corrupt klintoon comrade died... (One less evil ba$tard as far as I'm concerned!)
