In retirement, Clinton still polarizes his state

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Former President Clinton, who is in such high demand on the speech circuit that he made more than $9 million last year, remains a lightning rod for controversy in his home state of Arkansas. It is here that he hopes to build a base for a post-White House career as an international statesman.

My worry in this is that -- given the liberal lock on U.S. schools and the absence of justice in Clinton's Impeachment -- Clinton may become the modern role model for American youth.

I am astounded by apologists who believe that what Clinton evokes is envy when he so frequently evades punishment. What he does evoke is righteous indignation and the sincere desire to see justice done at last. All is not right with the world when a lowlife such as BJC can flagrantly flaunt his peccadillos while escaping what he so justly deserves.

". . .a man who swam upstream all his life. . .poor background. . .difficult childhood. . ." (Can you hear the strains of many violins rising in the background?) Kinda makes one wonder about this Miraculous Success that was impossible to anyone else.

Yes, everyone will flock to the postmodern wreckage, being unable to resist the sights and sounds of the Arkansas River- and the fabulous "legacy" of this pathetic liar and coward.
