Convicted Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to make the government do something it should have done a long time ago.

That is, turn over documents that could prove others besides Nichols and executed co-conspirator Timothy McVeigh were involved in the April 19, 1995, blast that killed 168 people.

imo, patterson has been the "lead dog" on these new revelations.

I wondered why the US focused their first anti-terror efforts in the Phillipines. Now most of the al-queda connected group there are believed to be dead or arrested. Maybe anyone who knew anything is dead now.

U.S. District Judge Richard Matsch ruled Nichols' alleged connection to Philippine terrorists had no bearing on McVeigh's guilt or innocence and refused the request.

Nichols made dozens of phone calls from his residences in Herington, Kan. and Las Vegas, Nev., and public pay phones in Junction City, Kan., to several numbers in the Philippines, according to telephone records and other sealed documents filed in connection with McVeigh's case.

Why were these documents sealed? It makes no sense unless one wants to hide "others unknown" involved.
