The Clintons Want You....(Clinton greed)

Bill and Hillary, the ex-president and New York's junior senator want you to contribute some of your hard-earned cash to pay the legal bills they ran up defending themselves in the Whitewater scandal.

The Clintons were involved as investors in the Whitewater Land Development project prior to Bill becoming president. The Whitewater scandal was a private matter, not a governmental matter. It was their own personal scandal that had nothing to do with the Presidency or the United States government. Why should the citizens of the U.S. be expected to pay for the Clintons' private defense of their personal business?

Using the power of the Presidency, the Clintons narrowly avoided prosecution in this land scandal mess. They now claim that under the Independent Council Act they were entitled to be reimbursed for their legal expenses. In part of the settlement that led to "no indictment," former President Clinton specifically agreed not to seek reimbursement for the fees stemming from the probe of his involvement with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

When the Clintons were leaving the White House it was reported that they absconded with numerous fixtures and furnishings. The Clintons also set up funds and sought contributions to help them furnish their new homes in Washington D.C. and New York.

Hillary received millions in advances on a book she is supposed to be writing - her memoirs. The former president has made millions giving speeches.

Where does the greed end? If they were as pure as they claim, the Whitewater hearings would not have gotten off the ground. Both the Clintons did everything in their power to thwart and stop the investigation. Now they want to be reimbursed by the taxpayers because they avoided going to jail. We guess that's their boobie prize.

And why not?

This is an excellent argument---and it turns the tables on the "its his private life" claims repeated ad nauseum by Clinton-lovers.

Why should the government pay for legal expenses you incurred in defending actions taken before you were president?

The Clintons, both of them and Al Gore have never held a real job. They live and exist on the Public feeding bag of tax money. They know nothing else, and if possible, would raise taxes so everyone of us working folks would be giving them 75% of our take home money. Pay them......I wouldn't bet on it if it went to a vote, but guess what? They will collect.

Gore was in Vietnam alright, but was a (reporter) and stayed behind the lines. There was no doubt about that and it was widely reported in the last election. Clinton was President, but never held another job other than at the Public dole. He is and was a taker. He took the country on a ride we will never forget. I think you have. Don't go down the Contra road....it didn't wash then and it doesn't now.
