Why i s Fox News changing "Liberal" to "Progressive" in its headline.

I noticed that in one of Fox's news stories on its website the headline was "Liberals Take Offensive on Ballot Issues". However, later in the day the same headline now reads "Progressives Take Offensive on Ballot Issues. What's interesting is that if you click on the headline the body of the story uses "Liberals" instead of "Progressives".

The change happened when it was moved from Latest Headlines to Politics. Maybe their political editor did it.

I understand what you mean and I am on your side, but I think we can trap the Left in their own manure by labeling them "Progressive". Progressive has such an "Orwellian Newspeak" sound, that I believe the publics subconscience will pick up on it.

Why don 'cha know? All Liberals/Communists/Marxists refer to themselves as "Progressive" when they really mean "repressive?"

You know--there are a lot of those LIBERALS (Progressives) on this site from time to time, and to be sure, their liberal black roots show through every time!! They want to be called Progressive because it is a word for LEFT WING that America isn't used to yet.

"Liberal" used to refer to the belief in individual liberty, private property, and limited government. Then the socialists stole our name.

It would be nice if the socialists would just call themselves what they are, but if they at least start calling themselves "progressive", maybe we could get "liberal" away from them. Send it to the dry cleaners, let it air for a couple of decades. Soak it in some de-greaser. A little disinfectant.

Every Free Republic devotee should use the term "socialist" when referring to democrats. He or she should use this term with anyone that they discuss politics with. Doing this drives Liberals (progressives) up the wall. They get bothered to no end. Read up on socialism, get the socialist key words and tricky phrases, and throw these phrases back as proof that the democrats are socialists. Every once in awhile , for added effect, throw the word "communist" in.

How did everything get so turned around. The Liberals, now progressives, are actually for loss of rights and control and the conservatives are the ones with the truely radical idea that we should be free.
