if Saddam unleashes Bio, Gas or Nuke (which I am not convinced he has yet) ... especially on Israel ... then Baghdad shall be a perpetual wasteland for a long, long time ...

Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Ind.) offered the same assessment yesterday.
Okay, we know, or at least are pretty darn sure, he has chem, bio, and very possibly nuke ability....and he is unstable as all get out, and he supports world wide terror.....
But the case ain't been made, to make a power change in Iraq......Once again proveing that it sure is'nt brain that gets one to DC.......

Remember the good old days six months back when people talked like Saddam was just going to sit still and do nothing if we came after him?
Back-end security. Anthrax. It's the name of the game.
THIS IS NEXT
WE HAVE THIS ANTHRAX
YOU CAN NOT STOP US
ARE YOU AFRAID?

actually, unless he has a speedy conversion, he'll die twice ... he's in for a big surprise when he finds out "allah" is not who he thinks he is ...

Check out this thread I posted a couple days ago ... one of very few local newscasts I ever caught on tape (all by accident) when the VCR was left recording ... it was interesting seeing this from 4.5 years ago ...

August 12, 2002 -- WASHINGTON - Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein will unleash dangerous gas, biological or even nuclear weapons against America if it attacks the Gulf nation, a top U.S. lawmaker warned yesterday. Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) said he suspects Saddam will likely employ everything in his arsenal against the United States and its allies if he's under siege. Sorry, all the more reasons to go after him. He simply cannot be having this kind of jurisdiction.

I fully expect Sadam to nuke our troops when we go into Iraq.
We have two choices, take his ass out now, or wait till his missiles can reach US Cities and take him out after a few million Americans fry in their homes.

Do not forget that the world wide Jihad did not start until Pakistan developed the A-Bomb. Now that the Islamic Empire has the bomb, we have a bid for world takeover by Islam. It is not a co-incidence.

Saddam's dream (or swan song) is to take out Israel.
To: Bobby777
Oh, yeah. I remember the Gulf War, and the run up to the Gulf War. I remember his antics, and the antics of his appeasers. Nothing changes. And, although it's not considered polite to mention it, the reason he came out of that one unscathed is because he threatened to anthrax the Jews. Now it's us he's threatening to anthrax. Had to be only a matter of time, right?

The longer we put off dealing with Saddam, the more difficult and perilous it will become. There's no time like the present.
To: ppaul
That should have been done 10 years ago.

I fully expect Sadam to nuke our troops when we go into Iraq. This is why I like some of the plans that do not involve a full-frontal assault with 250,000 troops. I'm beginning to wonder why we don't use nukes first. Truman did, to save American lives, against an enemy that didn't even have nukes. And he was right to do it.
