WASHINGTON (GOPUSA News) -- With President Bush's popularity still riding high and with the war on terror dominating the news, Democrat strategists appear to be up against the wall with the November elections just around the corner. Faced with a lack of critical issues, they are turning to James Carville and his Democracy Corps for help.

Following their agenda of advocating "popular" policy, Democracy Corps recently conducted a series of polls in an effort to define the Democrat agenda for the fall elections. As a result, they have devised a four-front strategy in the hopes of gaining control of congress.

Their first objective is to attack President Bush on what they say is his "corporate favoritism and lack of balance." They hope to do this by tying the current administration to the Enron scandal, a risky move that could backfire.

Leading the Democrats in the Enron investigation is Senator Joe Lieberman, the vice-presidential hopeful in the 2000 elections. Senator Lieberman is faced with the arduous task of connecting the Bush administration to the Enron scandal while at the same time delaying the hearings just long enough to avoid implicating any Democrats before November.

I will never understand why the Republicans aren't pounding back on the Democrats connections to Enron, to Global Crossings, to a lot of scandals.

This is a soundbyte society and that's why the Democrats are effective. As long as we hang back and play nice we aren't going to win.

They don't know who they are without a poll?

"As a result, they have devised a four-front strategy in the hopes of gaining control of congress."

Let's see now. That'd be:

1. lieing
2. cheating
3. scaring the elderly, and
4. playing the race card at just the right moment for maximum effect.

And here I was thinking that it was only the voters who have that ability...

Lying and cheating should be combined into a single category of deceit. That would allow us to add "post-mortum voter registration" to the list.

Excellent suggestion, Senator. I had forgotten about
voter fraud, certainly one front of the four-front endeavor.

>>>4. playing the race card at just the right moment for maximum effect.

You mean hiring people to scream oppression and burn said likeness of GW in effigy to be carried 24/7 on all network and cable news channels except FOX (who will comment on the absurdity).

...followed by the James Byrd dragging death with a crazed Bush at the wheel?

The reason that the Republicans do not follow your advice is that they have adopted a new campaign theme from the song, "Don't Rock the Boat, Baby, Don't Rock the Boat." Meanwhile, the Democrats are still promising "High Hopes" and "Happy Days Are Here Again."

And all four of these campaign tactics have been proved to have worked in the past. They are all time-tested Democrat tactics that could well succeed again on Nov. 5, 2002.

I think that same article shows Democrat Ron Kirk taking the Gramm seat in TX. Rush Limbaugh mentioned that article today. It shows a GOP lead in MO, SD, and NJ.
