YES ,IT IS A GIVEN - A U.S. ATTACK TO OUST SADDAM IS COMING .....

Get ready , the U.S. will attack Iraq for the purpose of ousting Saddam Hussien .

From increased military traffiv on the highways and Los Alamitos National Gurad airbase in Southern California , to the recent large military exercise of the California coast symbolic scenario of an Iraq invasion described as scenairio of a large earthquake taking place , and a dictator taking control of that country thereafter , to the 3 prong strategy reported , to the U.S invading the center of Bagdad report : It's coming , and no liberal in this country , France , or Germany will stop it .

Remember the reported Bush Senior having made up his mind to go into Iraq long before the build up of Desert shield was complete ? Remember the 'Get out Of Kuwait Before It's Too Late ' mentality of the honorable Bush senior ?

Well , this is none of that. Remember , Saddam Hussien has broken the Gulf War cease fire terms over and over . Inspections were to be done on a regular basis .Why ? To protect the Gulf States , and the interests of the United States , which are , whether we like it or not , in the real world inextricably linked .This included the security of the United States , which , given the report that 9/11 hijacker Mahammed Atta met with an Iraqi agent , makes an invasion necessary . Top this off with the report of a defector involved with the production of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction reporting that Saddam will have nuclear weapons in two years .The situation is urgent .

If the U.S. does not invade ,we face the scenario of Saddam Hussein transferring chemical , bio , and nuclear weapons to terrorists for de- facto attacks by Saddam Hussien against the U.S.. The other scenario is Saddam Hussien aquiring nuclear weapons , giving him the nerve to invade Kuwait and Saudia Arabia on the basis of thinking he can hold off an attack by the U.S. with nuclear weapons.

Saddam Hussien does not harbor terrorists ? Today it was reported that terrorist Abul Nidal , who's notorious terrorism spanned decades , was found dead and bullet ridden in Bahgdad .The invasion of Iraq is on .

He he he.

Yeah, that's a good enough 'reason', for one country to attack another. David? Your kind is to Bush, what the soccer moms were to Clinton.

Hi Byron the Aussie , are you from Australia ? G' day mate . I once knew someone from the sheeping town of Dubbo .

No , I am not a follow the leader blindly folk . You should see some of my posts opposing Pres . George W. our current liberal leaning President . I have adamantly opposed him against his coddling Hispanics , his wanting amnesty for illegal aliens , and his errant ' tie the hands of Isreal policy '.

Quite frankly if I could help recruit someome to run against President Bush in the 2004' primary , I would encourage it , and I actually hope an adequate challenger could be found to beat him and win against a Democrat in the general election .The Lord bless you and keep you , Church Of Christ , "....for God is love ." - 1jhn 4:8 Tuesday 8/20/02

Hey Byron:

No evidence on earth would convince you short of a glowing American city.

Go finger yourself.

Bravo. Believe it or not, I'm still hoping against hope this president will come to his senses, so that won't be necessary. But if he's silly enough to walk into the trap the Left have set for him, namely, proceeding with plans for an attack on Iraq, that's when my hoping will stop. And thanks for your blessing, David.

What nonsense.

I sat here reading FR for months, as the psyops teams and the Langley propaganda crew punched out doomsday scenario after doomsday scenario. Anthrax, smallpox, cyanide, suitcase nukes, sleeper cells, you name it, no fantasy was too bizarre if it helped to beat the war drums. None of it came true, despite the melodramatic hysteria of hundreds of Freepers who never got around to apologising to the rest of us. So you can go and stick your 'glowing American city' rubbish. All you are doing is promoting fear- shouting 'fire', in that huge theatre called the Internet.

Sorry Byron, Rumsfeld said today that Iraq is harboring AlQuaida members. Last fall Congress voted to authorize the President to use any means necessary to remove any government which harbors AlQuaida members (that was the Taliban government, remember). By his statement today, the SecDef put Saddam in the same category that the Taliban were. Within a few monthgs Saddam will be in the same category that the Taliban are now. Any government that seeks to protect Saddam will automatically be in the same category, so nobody will.

The deed is done, the ship has sailed. Alia jacta est!

..what evidence would convince you ol' By?..

Well, the normal sort of evidence of provocation you would expect before one country attacks another.

Atta meeting with the head of Iraqi intelligence isn't enough, because we don't know what they discussed. And 911 was carried out on a shoestring budget, so I don't put a lot of weight on this 'funding and support of terrorist groups' spin. Very hard to believe, too, that Saddam has 'weapons of mass destruction.' If he had them, he would have used them, during the final days of Desert Storm. Not likely that he would have accumulated them since, with the limited resources at his disposal. If he had, with the amount of intelligence-gathering directed at Iraq, we'd have a lot harder evidence of it than we apparently have.

But putting all that to one side, Zarf, even if the case could be made, then why an invasion? Why the whole technicolour multi-billion tanks and planes thing? Why not just locate him, and take him out, using the incredible array of technological apparatus available to the US military and security agencies? That question, at least, I would like you to answer.

Thanks Byron , bless you again , and hope you will visit a Church Of Christ in your area .

Why the Church Of Christ over other denominations?

Their ban on musical instruments in worship is not scriptural, but rather a man made tradition.

What's a de facto attacK?

Also, are you typing spaces at random for some kind of research project or something?

Byron wants a a piece of the dirty bomb that has “From Saddam to Bush “stenciled on it but, only if Saddam's fingerprints can be lifted from the rubble. Byron is after all a real stickler for detail. He has yet to be convinced that Bin Laden was behind 911. He is a real fair-minded bloke.

Hang on Lucius, check this out, from this week's copy of Time*:

The axis of evil developed a kink in it when Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal revealed that Iran, one of US President George W. Bush's three arch-enemies, had handed over 16 Saudi Arabians who were allegedly members of Al-Qaeda. The 16 men had fled to Iran to escape war in Afghanistan. The Iranian authorities knew that information from the men would be handed to America, said Saud.

So : has Rumsfeld named the suspects, and asked Iraq to perhaps hand them over to Saudi Arabia? Let's keep in mind that according to reports earlier this week, there's been no really useful intelligence forthcoming from the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, despite all the promises about how crucial their secrets were to the WoT effort.
