Fox News has announced that they'll show the sequence of the planes hitting the WTC once, then never again.
We should be showing everything that happened, all the shocking footage, especially the parts that were never shown in the first place.
Peacenicks should have to deal with the images of innocent people jumping to their deaths, and even the aftermath at ground level. This sort of whitwash is an outrage.

Fox News has been showing the shots of 911 ad nauseum since the day it happened. On the one day that they should show them, they've opted for restraint?

I like the guy and find him an intelligent and quiet alternative to the "younger and smarter" show. They are truly in a rut over there. Same ole, same ole.

I think there are a lot of people who feel this way. I need to see it all. I can't even say why really. This was one of the two events in my lifetime that will affect me always (the Challenger explosion being the other - how many times have we seen that replayed?). I am a different person today because of what happened on 9/11. I want to see it.

As someone that lives 1/2 mile north of what was the World Trade Center in NYC, I think Fox News is being very responsible. We all know what happened on 9/11/01 there is no need to see those planes slam into what was the World Trade Center over and over and over like we did during the first month after the atrocity. As someone who lives about a 1/4 mile (maybe less) from the WTC site, I think that the public needs to see it -- that the effects of it have worn off. For the most part, people who weren't directly affected by the attacks seem to have forgotten just how horrible those first few days felt.

IMHO I can fully remember the horrors of the day and stay committed to the fight against terrorism WITHOUT barfing all over my TV.That morning, some of us didn't have the choice to turn the channel and not face it head-on. If I can survive seeing it up close in person (close enough to be showered with glass from the secondary jet fuel explosions in the north tower shortly after it was hit), the rest of the country can watch it on TV without barfing in their living rooms.

What should be replayed is the 2 hour documentary filmed by the two French brothers shown on CBS. That was magnificent.I think that the HBO documentary was better, in that it did a better job (IMO) of capturing what happened that morning.

Most of us out here didn't have much of a choice either. Between surreal hypnosis and the fact that even ESPN was covering it all day for the whole week, ths was rather unavoidable. Everybody's gotta make their own decisions, shouldn't speak for other people's stomaches, unless your volunteering to clean if your wrong.

Ah shoot, I haven't seen that one. I don't have HBO, I cancelled it when TimeWarner kept pushing our rates up and up.

You could have turned off the TV, while I was running for my life when the south tower collapsed and wondering if I still had a living room in which to barf.
It happened and it was *far* worse than anything you saw on TV.

I don't know why you have to turn this personal and I really think you need to calm down about it, nobody, least of all me, is attacking you or belittling your experience or minimizing the horrors of the day.
Those that are going to forget will, and there's nothing you or I or anybody else can do about it. All the repeats on TV, and Ludovico Treatment stuff isn't going to force them to remember.
Those that aren't going to forget won't. It need never be shown or mentioned again and they will still remember.
I remember, I'll always remember. I'm quite certain that when I'm old and decrepit and dieing of Alzhiemers those memories will still be there; I won't remember my name, or my wife's name, or the name of the buildings I keep seeing collapse, but I'll remember the images and the horror. Just because I don't want to watch it again, at least not now, doesn't change the fact that I'll remember. With the way that day was etched in my mind any time I want to watch it again I just need to close my eyes.
