Yeah, our "dumb" President was crazy not to attend and get this kind of reception.

Bush has more sense than to attend a conference run by tyrants, dictators, ideologues, racists, and assorted fanatics. What did Blair expect?

You'd think that Blair would know by now that there is no way to appease thise racist thugs. But then he is a liberal and they don't learn well.

Not that I want to take up for British colonialism but the British did manage to civilize the natives. Now they are going in the opposite direction.

We need to make these neo-communists irrelevant ASAP.
Universities and the liberal media are saturated with their crap. Before long it will be the face of politics in our country, you are seeing the beginning in California.

Overnight, negotiators reached compromises on sanitation.

"Flush toilets will be phased out worldwide by 2006, rather than 2004 as demanded by the environmental activists."

"But we say this - we have fought for our land, we have fought for our sovereignty. Small as we are we have won our independence and we are prepared to shed our blood in sustenance and maintenance and protection of that independence."

Sounds like something Israel could say, and then 'just do it'!

in his keynote speech to the summit, threatened to shed blood if that was what it took to continue his controversial land reforms,

Thats some threat, Mugabe has already spilled blood.

How can we support the white farmers in Zimbabwe? What can we do (I'm serious...I feel worried about them).

"Mr Mugabe said: "Blair keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe."

I think this is a great trade. Now let Zimbabwe starve.

Yes, it won't be the first time Tony Blair walked right into a political ambush that Bush was smart enough to avoid.
And I seem to recall Blair doing the same thing in the Gulf region right before the war in Afghanistan.

Tony Blair walked into a humiliating ambush at the Earth Summit in Johannesburg today as African leaders angrily accused him of acting like a modern day colonialist.

Nothing like having a liberal hoisted on his petard

At its current rate of progress, Zimbabwe will probably embrace cannibalism by year's end.
Whether that would be a good thing or a bad thing is a matter of perspective, I suppose.

Mr Mugabe said: "Blair keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe." His remarks met with loud applause from other world leaders, compounding the embarrassment for Mr Blair who had told delegates of his pride in the work done by Britain in Africa only a few hours earlier.

What the West should do is declare Sub-Saharan Africa a "Wilderness Area" and leave it completely alone.

In 50 years, it will revert back to the way it was before the Age of Discovery.

Our President is much smarter than Tony Blair. Our President didn't go to the farcy showdown and get himself a sassing. Tony Blair is the egotistical dumby.

Actually, I have to take exception to the title.
An ambush is something you walk into unawares,
Blair knew this was coming, yet he appears to have
arrived without ammunition, of which he HAD plenty.
(Mugabe, starvation, ethnic cleansing, murder etc.)
