NAPLES, Florida (CNN) --The Georgia woman who prompted Friday's terror scare was "flat-out lying" when she told authorities she overheard three Muslim men at a restaurant laughing about September 11 and making suspicious comments, one of the men said late Friday.

I could be wrong of course. Do you have a better explaination for their actions. I don't believe the "HOAXTERs are dumb, and completely stupid to risks the consequences of their actions just for fun, particularly since the country is on high risk alert. They claim to be medical students, hence they must have atleast average IQs.
As it turned out, although they were release, and apparently free, their actions were not without cost to them. They have been kicked out of medical school. If your
"other varaible" include "profiling" by the Georgia lady who reported these 3 arab americans, then you will have to explain her bahaviour logically.

Or be the beneficiaries of some quota system. As to the variables to which I referred, they would have had to do a lot of second guessing to have rigged that sequence of events. I was merely making the observation that the way it went down was not that predictable. To be an effective "test" they would have needed to be able to calculate the sequence of events.

Often times individuals of the newcomer variety buy a car simply by handing over cash and driving off with the car. They don't bother transferring the title.

Calculate the sequence of events Calculate? No calculation needed. They made the probability a 100% that the Georgia lady heard what they were saying, in the restaurant, and run the tool both to make sure they got attention from the police. They even paid their bill at the restaurant with credit cards, for goodness sake!

Especially, how far from the booth was the arrest?

You're assuming that they KNEW the woman was paying attention to them AND that they knew she would call 911. Also you are assuming that they knew that the cops would be looking for them and to make sure they would be caught they ran through a toll booth. Why were they on I-75 then? Surely they would know that that would not be thought to be the most likely route to Miami. And if they cared anything about their medical careers is it likely that they would put themselves at that kind of risk? Surely they know of all the suspected terrorists that are sitting behind bars even though they've not been charged. Would they risk this? I don't know. Like I said initially, it is certainly possible but just doesn't seem very likely.

Go a bit further. Find out if they have been attending classes. We found out after 9/11 that often times foreigners sign up for college classes then NEVER SHOW. The visa fo college is just an excuse to get into the country.

If you heard and saw the Georgia lady told the situation on how she heard the conversations at the restaurant, I think it will be obvious to you, and most people, that the "hoaxters" knew she had heard everything they were saying. As for why the "hoaxters" were in HWY 75, it happens to be the fastest rout to Miami with the least traffic. You see, I used to drive that route from Tampa to Miami very often.

Well, never having been to Miami I cannot judge other than to say that that is contrary to what others on this thread have been saying. As for the rest, even assuming that they knew she had heard them, they had no way of knowing whether or not she would do anything with what she heard. Many wouldn't have.

Would they risk this? That's exactly what triggered my suspicions that these guys were not doing it for fun. The consequences for us on the "Majority" would be too painfull, but they want to test if it applies to the "minority" with a RACE CARD issue. That's why there maybe a lot more serious thing behind all this. Consider this, those terrorists paid the ultimate price on 9.11, because they were committed to terror, so being kicked out of medical school is a small price to pay, if their objectives were what I suspected.

I too have been very curious about these so-called "medical students." Ross University's school of medicine is in Dominica, West Indies. It is one of the "Carribean" schools of medicine. The school has only graduated 3,565 physicians and is not accredited in the US. If you live near a hospital on the list below, I'd be careful. You should also browse the main website for the school where you will see the Residency Positions announced for the July, 2002 year. Note that there actually is a section "Names withheld by request." This is a rather bizzare thing since in the United States every spring the "match" takes place and residents find out which hospital they will be working at. The names of these residents are printed in USA TODAY. It is public information and usually those students are quite happy to see their name affiliated with a hospital after years of hard work. Now what medical student would want their "Names withheld by request???"

Well, the terrorists now know that there are a sufficient number of us, who would do the right thing to save lives. As for the Tampa to Miami route, it was true until 3 years ago, if there has been a big change since then, those who are lurking please let us know. I know HWY95 was a lot worst than #75, I just can't beleive that it is better now.
