The unbroken pattern of Democratic leadership to put the party's political interests ahead of the national interests. The Democratic Party is no longer the party of FDR, JFK, Scoop Jackson or even the old Joe Lieberman. It is now a carnival of political appetites and dangerously unstable (Leahy), doddering (Hollings and Byrd), dumb (Biden), disingenuous (Levin), duplicitous (McAuliffe and Daschle), and corrupt (Davis) leaders without any restraint imposed by concern for the national interest.
Its real leadership remains the Clintons, who remain perpetually in search of affection and inevitably offensive in their public posturing. The interest groups that control the party – the snarling Nan Aron, the smarmy Ralph Neas, and the entrepreneurial Jesse Jackson – represent ideologies held widely only in Malibu.
In short, there is no longer a Democratic Party worthy of the name. Its supporters vote for its candidates in the face of logic and, indeed, despite the deepest instincts of self-preservation. In words from "The Who": Don't get fooled again.

I spent the first 20 years of my adult life training to kill Marxists and I'll be damned if I'll vote for one.
The continued vocal support of the Clinton's during the impeachment process when the Party decided that the outrageous behaviour of a sitting President was a "private" matter.
Further, during the impeachment not one Democrat accepted the offer of Mr. Schippers to view the evidence gathered in his case against Clinton. Thus the Democrats had already decided that their parties fate was more important then judging a man based on the evidence. This truly put the Party before the People.
The beard is gone, but gore is still around.
(1) the democratic party advocates the murder of unborn babies.
(2) The democratic party is amoral and pushes a gay rights agenda.
(3) The attack on Christianity through the activism of corrupt amoral judges.
These two far outweight Hewitt's reasons although they are legitimate too. I vote my values in obedience to Christ. Any Christian who votes for a democrat is either ignorant or backslidden.
This bears repeating, again and again.
